How to add to the youth services wiki (http://sjplyouthservices.pbwiki.com/):
Go to the page you would like to add to. In this example we will be adding to the “Training Reports” page.
Click on the “Edit page” button.
You will be required to enter the password now. If you don’t remember it, check with a fellow librarian.
Now you will be looking at something similar to the above screen, but it has editing features like a Word document. Type the name of the thing you’re going to add. For this example I am adding “PLA Spring Symposium 2007.” See below.
Highlight the name so you can turn it into a link. Click on the “Link” icon. A box will pop up, as shown below.
Click ok when you’re done.
If that’s all you’re adding to the page click save (this is very, very important!!).
Now, click on the link you created. You will be on the “Create a new page” screen. You can change the page name and choose a template if you’re so inclined. There’s a nice preview area on the right. See the example below.
When you’re satisfied with your choices, click on “Create new page” at the bottom of the screen.
Now you will have either a blank page or the template that you chose. Edit this however you want. There are many familiar tools at the top of the editing area that you can use to adjust the font, alignment, text formatting, and lots more. You can add links, images and tables, or you can attach a file if you prefer.
Just don’t forget: when you have finished with your edits click save at the bottom of the screen.
Now you will see your final, beautiful page. If it’s not as beautiful as you had hoped, just click the “edit page” button again and make it right!
