Attention Students: Scicon applications are available starting TODAY 9/1 before school, lunch time, and after school. Please do not come during class time to get an application; you will not receive one. Applications can be picked up in room S-14, Mr. Marquez's classroom. Students:If you are a 10th-12th grade athlete and are interested in participating in the Athlete Readers and Leaders program, please sign-up with Ms. Linhoff in the library. There will be an informational meeting for everyone and training for new participants in the library on Wednesday9/7 at 2:05 p.m. Please see Ms. Linhoff for more information.
Students attending the football game Friday night, no one will be allowed into the game with completely painted faces and or bodies. All students not involved in game in some way are encouraged to sit in the student section at our home athletic competitions. This Friday’s rally is a black-out-be prepared for black lights, flashing lights and a lot of school spirit!
Attention Students: Please do not bring 50 or 100 dollar bills to school. The snack bar and food carts will not accept these bills. Also, please know that students are allowed 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch a day. If your number is used twice in one day you will be charged and be sent a bill. So, if you eat breakfast at the cafeteria before school, you cannot eat breakfast at break unless you pay for it at the moment. Thanks.

Calling all artists, the RHS Art Department is accepting submissions for the Big Fresno Fair Art Competition.Signups are going on now until September 12th, art work will be due on 9/16. Please see Mr. Smith in room 403 for more information.

Freshman!!! Come Join the RHS Transition Team on our first annual Tailgate Party, this Friday vs. Dinuba. There will be free food, games, music and free admission to the JV and Varsity Game. If you’re interested come visit us at the Transition Center room 5A1 for more information. GO PIRATES!!
Seniors: The Fresno State ambassador will be at RHS from 8 am until 12 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please see her for any question re Fresno State and other CSU campuses. Please sign up in the career center to be called out.
The Native American Youth Conference at Fresno State will take place on Friday 9/23. Please see Mr. Mendoza if you are interested in attending this all day event.
Attention all Juniors and Seniors interested in taking Adult School courses please make an appointment to see your counselor to receive an application for Adult School. Adult School sign-ups have begun – sign-ups are Monday through Thursday at 5p.m. sharp at the Adult School Office but you must have an application from your counselor. After enrolling, Adult School classes begin on Tuesday 9/6. Please do not miss out on this opportunity to regain lost credits, make-up a course and get on track for graduation!
DREAM ACTstudents- There will be a workshop on 10/11 at 1 p.m. in the Pirate Helm. To attend, please sign up in the counseling office.
Fresno Area College Night will be Wednesday 9/14. This is your opportunity to meet with college and university reps from throughout the state and the nation. There will also be workshops on financial aid, planning for college and admission requirements. Permission slips are available in the counseling office and are due by 9/9 at 4:00 pm.

Attention all Juniors and Sophomores interested in taking the PSAT (which is the SAT practice test) on 10/19 here at Reedley High School, fliers can be found in the Counseling Office or Career Center. The cost is $15 for Sophomores. For Juniors Mr. Chapa has only a few fee waivers to give away on a first come, first served basis which would allow you to take the test for free, see Mr. Chapa. Sign-ups end soon so please sign up soon!

Congratulations to the following athletes for receiving a medal at the Highlander cross country Invitational yesterday at Woodward park: Teresa Perez, Gabby Silva, KiKi Sunamoto and Natalie Reyes.
Congratulations to Ruben Reyes, Chich Gomez, AJ Garcia, Sergio Dominguez, Alonso Lemus, Diego Duarte and Matthew Jarrett for earning medals at The Mclane Highlanders Invite. A big congrats to Matthew Jarrett for winning the frosh race.
All students interested in playing softball this year, there will be a mandatory meeting in Coach Buckley's room SS6 on Tuesday, sept 6th at lunch. All players interested in participating in the upcoming season must attend.
