Patrick J. Tranel
Associate Professor Patrick Tranel, an internationally recognised expert in weed science, received his BSc in Agriculture from Iowa State University, did his MSc in Weed Science at Washington State University, and his PhD at Michigan State University. After winning the 2007 Outstanding Early Career Weed Scientist Award, from the Weed Science Society of America, A/Prof Tranel was elected to a two-year term to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Faculty Senate in 2008. Last year also saw him invited for a third, three-year term as Associate Editor of Weed Science.
