Position Title
/Administrative Officer
Classification Level
/WACOSS Staff Agreement – Level 2.3 to 2.5
Salary Range – $55,708 to $59,676 per annum.
Reporting line and roles under direct responsibility
/As per Organisational Chart
Primary Objective
To provide reception and basic administrative support to WACOSS staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Administration
/· Respond to all initial enquiries about WACOSS and refer to appropriate staff.
· Welcome all visitors and guests attending for appointments
· Answer the telephone.· Collect, record, distribute and file all mail
· Organise and maintain office filing system
· Maintain up-to-date mailing lists
· Photocopying as required
· Assist with the coordination of meetings, booking meeting rooms, setting up
· Maintain and book training equipment in and out
· Enter data and maintain computer records
· Handle and reconcile petty cash
· Maintain stationary stocks and consumables
· Forward all invoices and moneys to central administration
· Logisitical support (eg. Travel and accommodation bookings)· Reconciliation of organisational credit cards.
· Assist with communications and membership related tasks. /
Strategic Planning
/· In accordance with the Performance Development Planning and Review Policy, develop a Work Plan that aligns activities and tasks with WACOSS strategic priorities and operational plans.
· Understand and promote the WACOSS Mission, Vision and Values.
/Occupational Health and Safety
/· Employees are required to take reasonable care for their own safety and health at work and to avoid harming the safety and health of other people through any act or omission at work. WACOSS OHS information is available upon request.
/Other Duties
/· Participate in organisational and team meetings as scheduled
· Other duties as required.
/Selection Criteria
Essential
· Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to convey information, handle client enquiries, cooperate with others
· Welcoming telephone manner
· Basic financial recording skills (e.g. handling petty cash)
· Ability to work in a changing environment and to contribute positively to the change process
· Ability to use initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision
· Experience undertaking administrative tasks within a set timeframe
· Well-developed organisational and time management skills, including an ability to work within tight deadlines
· Excellent computer skills including the MS Office suite
· An ability to support and operate within the WACOSS Mission, Vision and Values
Desirable
· Understanding of the community service sector

· Current drivers licence
