Location/Setting
ICT Room. Arrange large spaces for the children to move around when setting up their small presentations and panel of judges. / Organisation/student groups
Each student will receive a handout. The class will be split in half and supervised by two teachers, one for each group. Then these groups will be split again as one half will be presenting whilst the other marking. The groups will then swap over; therefore, everyone has a turn at doing both. / Classroom Management strategy
Both teachers will be guiding and assisting with their groups presentations and judging panel. This will keep the groups controlled and allow the students to feel comfortable about what they are doing and learning. If the groups don’t cooperate the students can be separated and the task can be conducted individually or in pairs. / Materials, resources and equipment

Introduction – Connecting, engaging and modeling inquiry
  1. Introduce the topic. How would you prepare for a presentation?In this case,the students will be preparing to present their PowerPoint’s on Pobblebonk.
  2. Explain how to prepare a presentation. (Make handouts on ‘How to prepare for a presentation.’) Go through the instructions.
  3. Suggest topics the students can research. Something they feel comfortable with or have some knowledge about.
  4. Arrange the groups.

  • Allow some time for the students to choose and research a topic.
  • Arrange the students into their groups.
  • Hand the second and third worksheets out for the second part of the task.
/ Conclusion – Sharing, explaining and reviewing inquiry
Collect all of the student worksheets for correction and data.
Discuss with the students how the lesson went and reflect on their learning.
