The search is on! The (SQDN)______is actively recruiting talented active duty, Reserve or Guard members to compete for a spot on the stage at the Air Force Worldwide Talent Search competition to be held at Lackland AFB, TX 4-11 Feb 2013.

Vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, and non-musical talent such as comedians, dramatists and magicians are all encouraged to submit an application and audition video for consideration. Eligible members with technical skills such as audio, lighting, staging, video and even drivers are also being recruited.

To help members develop their talent, submit applications and video tape performing acts for consideration the (ACTIVITY)______will host a (TALENT SHOW, TALENT TAPING ETC…FILL IN THE BLANK)______on (DATE) ______at (TIME) ______

“We have great talent out there, but many people find it difficult to make their videos and fill out the application, so we intend to help,” says (TALENT POC NAME)______,(BASE)______Talent Project Officer. Interested individuals may also apply directly to Air Force Entertainment by logging on to topsinblue.com. According to (POC NAME)______, “There are no base limits as to the number of applicants that may be selected to compete at the Air Force level competition, so we are looking to “represent” here at (BASE)______. “ As an added bonus all eligible applicants will receive a MISSION AUDITION t-shirt from HQ Air Force Entertainment as a way of saying thank you for applying.

After the initial talent application review, the top talent will be invited to the Air Force level competition where first and second place trophies, proudly called “Roger and Wilco” will be awarded in up to seven performing categories. In addition to the trophies, contestants will compete in various performing arts related programs to include dance and musical auditions. These special events tied with the contest will help evaluate the talent potential of each contestant for possible nomination to the 2013 Tops In Blue team.

To encourage contestants to get their applications as early as possible, Air Force Entertainment will be offering a weekly drawing for some great prizes. Each week starting 12 Nov 12, the name of a lucky winner will be drawn from the completed applications that have been submitted. That winner will have their choice of an Acer net book computer, a Nikon S70 camera, a Sony Reader electronic book reader, or a “retro” Apple IPod Nano (4th Gen). One prize will be awarded each week between 12 Nov and 3 Dec. For a contestant to be eligible for the prize drawings, the application must be completely filled out. For entertainers, an accompanying video must also be submitted. Prizes are subject to availability-the earlier you get your application in, the better your chances of winning and the more prizes you will be able to select from.
