Example
Citation:
The Planet of Tatooine, Star Wars series.
Description:
Tatooine is an aria desert planet where the heat comes from two suns. Farming seem to be possible as it was the occupation of Luke Skywalker’s Uncle (specifically Moisture Farming). Dwellings are either underground or in dome buildings. There doesn’t seem to have any vegetation growing in any of the Tatooine’s movie scenes. Even though the humans ride these pod-cars, some creatures like the Sand People use wooly coated animals as transportation.
5 Factors:(A=abiotic; B=biotic)
Tatooine is similar to the desert
- It has intensive heat due to having two suns (A)
- Has little to no precipitation thus needing the moisture farms (A)
- Inhabitants live underground to avoid the sun’s intensive rays and heat (B)
- Little to no vegetation growth (B)
- Wooly coated on animals to stay warm during the night, maybe similar to camels. (B)
Fun Facts:
Podracing is the popular sport on Tatooine. It’s also a dangerous event where most of the racer’s vehicles are destroyed due to rough competition. However, a human slave named Anakin Skywalker was able to win one of these races and his freedom. He later becomes a terrifying agent of the Sith Lord. He is renamed Darth Vader and is one of most iconic figures from the Star Wars’ series. “I find your lack of faith disturbing.”
