Note- Ages of all players in a team shall be reckoned as at midnight on 31st August/1st September 2017 - i.e. any pupil born on or after 1st September 1998 will be eligible for the Under 19 event.
- Players in year 12, 13 or 14 may enter events 1 or 2 only.
- Players in year 9, 10 or 11 may enter events 3 or 4 only.
- Players in years 7 or 8 may enter events 5 or 6 only.
4. Players in year 6 or below may enter events 7 or 8 only.

Refreshments – please bring your own drinks and snacks for the day as unfortunately there are no catering facilities available at the venue.
Tournament Regulations (please retain)
- All players must attend schools in the county of Norfolk and be eligible to represent Norfolk in County Matches.
- Entry open to teams from all schools in England whether or not part of the State System. Teams comprising pupils who are undergoing Full-time Education in a college are also eligible. (See Rule 4.1.5 in the Constitution and General Rules).
- (a) A school, academy or college (hereafter referred to as a school) may represent only one County under whose aegis is the County Schools’ Association.
- (b)Under no circumstances may a player represent more than one school during the season.
- (c) Players representing a school must be pupils at that school except that a player transferring to another school may continue to play for his/her former school provided that the pupil was on the school roll when form T3 was received by the Team Competition Organiser.
- (a) A team shall consist of 4 players who must play in order of merit but see Note 14.
- (b) A match shall consist of 8 sets (all of which must be played) with each set being the best of five games (eleven up, but see Rule 8D).
- (c) The order of play shall be: 1 v 2, 2 v 1, 3 v 4, 4 v 3, 1 v 1, 3 v 2, 2 v 3 , 4 v 4. Two or more sets may be played at the same time at the discretion of the Organiser even though this may mean a player playing 2 sets in succession.
- (a) Play in the Zone, Regional and National Finals will be played in a group system where possible.
- (b) In the group system, 2 match points shall be awarded to the winning team, and 1 match point to each team for a draw (4-4 in sets regardless of games). The group position shall be decided primarily by the match points gained.
- (c) If 2 or more teams have gained the same number of match points, their relative positions shall be determined by the results only of the matches played between those being equal, taking successively match points, sets ratio, games ratio, and, if necessary, points ratio.
- (d) If an equality still exists between the two teams tying for first or second place, the match result shall be decided by a doubles set between any two players from each team. Where an equality exists between teams tying for places other than first, they shall be placed equal second or third as appropriate.
- (a) No player registered on Form T3 may play in more than one age group in the same season.
(b). At each stage of the Championships at least one playing member of each team must be competing in the youngest event for which he or she is eligible.
- Every school team competing in the National Finals must be accompanied by a member of the teaching staff of their school or a nominated adult.
- All matches in the Championships shall be played under the Laws of Table Tennis as adopted by Table Tennis England.
- All matches to be the best of 5 games, 11 up.
- Eight tables will be used.
- The Referee’s decision will be final on any question not provided for in these regulations, or in a dispute as to the interpretation thereof. Referee is Dennis Calver (International Umpire)
- All bats must comply with Table Tennis Rules.
- Should there not be enough entries in any event, in the opinion of the Referee, that event may be combined with another.
- Whiteballs will be used.
- Players should report to the organiser’s table on arrival.
- All players must wear suitable non-white clothing and appropriate footwearand conform to current ITTF regulations, as adopted by Table Tennis England.
- All players agree to abide by the tournament regulations and decisions of the Referee/Organiser.
- Players may only play in one event i.e. their own age group or the one higher.
- The winning team in each event shall be given the opportunity to compete in the English Schools Zone Team Event, expected to be held in Grantham Table Tennis Centre, Mere’s Leisure Centre played on 13th and 14th January 2018.
