The duties of the role are:
Undertake one or more of the following:-
· Assisting in the maintenance, operational support and enhancement of a large number of client-facing business application systems. These systems are critical to the delivery of our services to the Veteran community.
· Diagnosis, impact evaluation, correction and testing of reported faults and service needs.
· Ensuring documentation is maintained according to Quality requirements.
· May also be called upon to assist with technical design, coding, testing of system enhancements in a project-based environment.
8. / Documentation / The specified personnel will produce documentation in relation to the role they have been performing and store in appropriate TRIM containers.
9. / Skills knowledge transfer / The specified personnel will transfer knowledge to an identified resource as advised by the Team Leader.

· Sound knowledge and experience (minimum 2 years) in a business application environment using C++ with:
· Familiarity with the Visual Studio IDE (version 7).
· Sound Knowledge of SQL commands & fundamentals.
· Highly developed Maintenance skills incorporating problem solving, lateral thinking, responsiveness and an ability to consider implications.
· Previous experience in time critical software support or development.
· Experience with using a source control system.
Desirable:
· Some experience with mainframe systems desirable
· Some experience with Oracle Policy Automation
