VACANCY: CORPORATE SERVICE MANAGER

Khâi-Ma Municipality (situated at Pofadder, Namaqua District in the Nothern Cape Province) is an affirmative action employer. Applications of suitable persons are being awaited in terms of Section 56(a)(i) of the Municipal Government Amendment Act: Municipal Systems Act 7 of 2011 to apply for the above- mentioned vacancy.

PRESCRIBED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Ø  Bachelor Degree in Public Administration/Management Sciences/Law; or equivalent.

Ø  The successful candidate must have a complete qualification/certificate (NQF 6) in Municipal Finance Management Programme.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

Valid code 8 driver’s license

PRESCRIBED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Ø  A minimum of five (5) years experience at middle management level.

Ø  Have proven successful management experience in administration.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

This post operates at a strategic level to provide strategic support to all the functions within the Khâi-Ma Municipality, with the main priorities being:

Ø  General administration, Secretariat, Property Management, Capacity Building/Training,Human Resources and Labour Relations.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Ø  Ability to develop and implement human resources management programmes including selection and recruitment, training and skills development, employment equity,labour relations and the ability to engage in a constructive bargaining process.

Ø  Ability to develop employee relationships and promote diversity.

Ø  Ability to develop human resources policies.

Ø  Sound understanding of financial management as well as administration systems and principles within Local Government.
