BOULDER’S COMMISSION MEETING
August 23, 2016
6:00 pm
Attending: Mindi Baker, Dave Bremser, Steve Oatman, Michele Ertz, Catherine Dwine and Council Member Corey Curnyn.
Absent: Jeff Renner, Troy Gehlsen and Julie Downing
Mindy called the meeting to order at 6:05pm.
There were no minutes to approve since we did not have a quorum last month. A motion was made by Dave, seconded by Steve, to approve the current bills. Motion carried.
The revenue & expense sheet was reviewed. We have a little over $245,000 left in our approved expenditures budget, but behind approximately $12,300 in revenue, some of which is due to less bar usage and smaller events. However, the actual number of events is staying about the same. We have also picked up a few new clients.
Catherine reported on the 10th anniversary promotion. She said she had several booking that would have normally waited until closer to the dates they needed.
Catherine updated some ads but has not begun any new marketing promotions.
Discussed the window situation. Reisz Construction will be coming in within a week to take out a couple windows and see if it is a problem with the way the windows were installed.
Reisz Construction will also be working on the sanding and painting of the deck in the near future.
The situation with the lower floor of the building was discussed. Catherine will be working with Majestic Hills to get the patching, painting, and the chair rail moved once we
JJ’s Catering has requested the opportunity to be a vendor at Boulder’s Convention Center. A discussion was held. Michele made a motion to deny the request at this time, since we already have a good number of caterers. 2nd by Dave. Motion Carried.
A motion was made at 6:56 by Michele to adjourn, seconded by Mindy. Motion carried.
