Ballpark Maintenance Supervisor

Position Description

Description of Position:

Oversees and assists with technical maintenance activities associated with the operation and sustainability of Target Field. Promotes a safe, clean, productive, and comfortable environment for all staff and visitors of Target Field.

Responsibilities:

Oversees all activities associated with the maintenance, repair, operation, and sustainability of Target Field.

Performs activities along with technical maintenance staff as required

Assists with developing and training of department policies and procedures

Assists with establishing safety procedures

Participates in commissioning process (current and future)

Performs and oversees the operation of all HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment

Performs and oversees the operation of all fire and life safety equipment

Maintains accurate data and records via Computerized Maintenance Management Software

Troubleshoots all systems under the scope of “Building” and “Operations”

Oversees and directs activities of contracted services performing work within Target Field

Able to meet flexible work schedules and provide “on-call” service as needed

Develops and maintains inventory of tools, parts, equipment associated with Ballpark maintenance

Assists with cross-functional activities such as but not limited to; Groundskeeping, office services, gameday operations

Operates Building Automation System (Honeywell)

Provides input and recommendations for annual operating budget

Operates and maintains all material handling equipment as needed. Ex: Snow removal equipment, bobcat, forklift, pallet jack, stadium vehicles

Plans and performs winterization activities for Target Field

Develops and supports environmental policies and procedures

Coordinates and manages small construction projects

Use of AutoCAD/Revit software to navigate and produce drawings

Knowledge RTU’s, AHU’s, FCU’s, exhaust systems, Chillers, pumps and heat exchangers

Minimum Qualifications

Two year degree in Mechanical or Building Management related field. Five years experience in maintenance and/or operations. Supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces wearing proper PPE
  • Ability to work in extreme hot/cold, dirty spaces
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform work overhead
  • Ability to climb, stoop, bend, stand, crawl, push and pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform snow removal duties including shoveling and operating snow removal equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools and specialized power tools
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including fork lifts and bobcats
  • Ability to work at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to support events at Target Field

Interact with fellow employees, management, customers and the general public in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner. Maintain a positive public image, positive attitude and demeanor when performing a service for customers and the general public at the Ballpark. Must display exemplary leadership skills. Safely perform duties following established safe operating procedures and practices.

Work Environment:

Combination of office and field work. This position will be exposed to hazardous conditions where hearing and visual protection may be required.
