Community Student Support Manager

36 hours per week

(9.15am – 5.00pm Monday – Thursday 9.30am-5.00pm Friday)

Term time plus 5 INSET days

Salary – Band H, Point 29 £25,591 per annum pro rata.

The post holder will provide a complementary service to existing leaders, teachers and pastoral staff in school, addressing the needs of children, parents and carers to help them overcome barriers to learning both in and outside school, in order to achieve their full potential. The post holder will promote optimum pupil performance and achievement by supporting pupil attendance, behaviour and learning and, in addition, be a point of contact for the local community. The post holder will join an established team which received positive feedback in the school’s recent Ofsted inspection:

·  The support and training that staff receive is excellent (Ofsted January 2017)

·  Parents told inspectors that they are ‘honoured’ to send their children to this school (Ofsted January 2017)

·  The additional adults in the classroom support learning effectively. They are proud of their role and are making a positive difference to the learning of the pupils they support (Ofsted January 2017)
