College Coach of the Year

General rules

  1. USPTA-certified professionals and instructors in good standing may apply.
  2. Every question on the application must be answered in the space provided. Please type. Backup materials may be attached.
  3. The awards period is from Oct. 1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2009.
  4. The Texas Division must receive all applications by the October 1 deadline. Applications may be mailed or shipped to the address below.

  1. The Texas Division Awards Committee not only judges the award nominations, but is available to answer questions throughout the year. If you have any questions, please call Chairman Ron Woods at (361) 991-7501.
  1. The awards will be presented at the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame Awards Banquet in February 2010. Applicants should be prepared to attend.
  1. Applications completed by computer should be mailed, along with backup materials to the address above.

Other Requirements

  1. Must be a certified USPTA member in good standing.
  2. This award is designed primarily for team coaches, however, consideration will be given to coaches who have done an outstanding job with individuals.
  1. To be eligible for College Coach of the Year, applicants must be actively coaching a school team (or individual) during the designated award year.
  1. The forms on the following pages must be completed in detail (please type). Newspaper clippings, interviews or highlights of the applicant’s career are very important.
  1. Include a color photograph and biographical information.
  1. Individuals may submit scrapbooks that include this application. To receive credit for the nomination, a division must include the completed application in its notebook, as well.

We encourage applicants to be prepared to attend the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame Awards Banquet in February 2010, if they receive the award.
