Issue 5 | September 2006 | The Meeting on MfDR in Asia-PacificDear Members,
To mark the end of the CoP-MfDR's pilot period of operations this September, thirty-four members of the CoP-MfDR came together from 30 August to 1 September 2006 to participate in a Meeting on MfDR in Asia-Pacific. Convened jointly with the Mutual Learning Initiative on MfDR (MLI), the event was held at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore, and co-sponsored by the ADB, LKYSPP, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development-Development Assistance Committee (OECD-DAC) Joint Venture on MfDR.
The Meeting provided a forum where participants could hear results-based management experiences from Singapore and Malaysia; exchange experiences on incentives and capacity in MfDR and build deeper relationships among CoP members; and review the CoP-MfDR pilot period of operations as well as formulate an action plan for its future.
The participants and speakers shared a total of 18 comprehensive papers as well as 11 presentations documenting country and/or sectoral experiences with MfDR that we believe are valuable contributions to the body of knowledge on the practice.
Once again, we thank all the participants for their active involvement and commitment to the CoP.

As a community focused on results, we should be results-oriented ourselves. In this light, we're preparing a balanced scorecard for the CoP. This month's question is:
What do you think are the most appropriate outcomes for the CoP-MfDR that should be reflected in our balanced scorecard?

Help Review this Program Evaluation Tool
CoP-MfDR member and independent consultant Lalit Chugh has sent in a Microsoft Excel-based program evaluation tool that he developed, designed for the holistic evaluation of programs ranging from a highly 'exclusivity-oriented' program to a highly 'inclusivity-oriented' program. The broad approaches are indicated in the sheets named 'HoilisticProgramEvaluation' and 'SustainabilityDevelopment'. Lalit would be grateful to receive comments.
