Mole
Moles have very bad eyesight and live underground.
Habitat – Moles are found all over the world in all kinds of habitats. They spend most of their time underground in burrows.
Size – Moles are 5 – 25 cms long with a tail nearly the same length.
Appearance – Moles have thick brown fur and very long sharp claws on their feet. They have tiny eyes and have very poor eyesight.
Diet – Moles are called insectivores (insect eaters) but they do eat worms, mice, fish and frogs too.
Young - The female gives birth to 3 (or 4) young. The young are blind and naked at birth.
Interesting fact – They have special hairs on their feet and tail and whiskers on their faces to help them find their food by touch.
