In order to keep this to a manageable length I have cut back dialog from previous meetings. You may find it useful to review previous SUG minutes for additional details.
Observing Reports and Data Files
When possible, please submit SPS file snippets to Dave for uploading onto the SUG web site.
Dave requested that all send in to him at least a couple of raw data files – for the best events of the apparition, so that we may make a Group Report. See Daves April 6 e-mail for the preferred dates.

Science
Some discussion as to how to distinguish IPS (Interplanetary scintillation) from Arcs. It seems the arcs are a phenomena with periods of minutes whereas the IPS is on the order of seconds. The discussions will continue next time.
Spectrogram comparisonWes is working with spectrograms to obtain examples of times when spectra are similar and times when they are dissimilar between various stations. Hopefully this can be the topic of a presentation at the summer meeting and also useful for Jim T to submit to ionospheric wizards. Dave will be working a group report of one or more storms using raw spectro data files.
N-events Considerable discussion of the 12 April 2014 “snake events”. Terrestrial or extraterrestrial?? That was the question. One argument for terrestrial is that the events did not exhibit RCP as did S-bursts at the same time and nearby in frequency. Events were equally strong in RCP and LCP. Whit heard the event on an R-75 in SSB mode and heard tones suggesting terrestrial. Event observed in HI, AK, PA, NM, and FL. (also SC possible – need to confirm with Andy)
Solar Chuck requested a month or so of solar SkyPipe data for one of his students.
RSS Software
The recommended sweep range and number of channels (17-23 MHz and 200 channels for Io-C, and 17-26 MHz with 300 channels for all other times). Tom noted that some Io-C extends above 23 MHz. Brief discussion of spectrograph settings. Some want to determine the maximum frequency of emission, others want better resolution. Will continue discussion and resolve before next apparition.
RSS Version Number
The most recent revision number for RSS is 2.2.36.

Spectrograph Correction Array
Brief discussion – Jim S thought it worked – Dave has problems with it.
System Diagrams
System diagrams and other info are at the Jove web site. Please make sure your diagrams are correct and current.
Station Reports
Jupiter season essentially over and all stations operational.
