Therefore, Timely Registration As a Phd Is Important!

Dear PhD candidate,

In view of your intended promotion at the Radboud University, I would kindly invite you to register yourself as a PhD candidate through the university programme Hora Est: http://oametisp.uci.ru.nl/horaest.

Hora Est is the university programme for the registration of all internal and external PhD candidates. It allows the registrar of the university to timely verify your identity and to establish on what education the admission to the doctoral procedure can be based upon. Later on it facilitates all the necessary communication – when applicable – with respect to the installation of the Doctoral Thesis Committee, the Doctoral Examination Board etc.

Therefore, timely registration as a PhD is important!

Registration is free of charge.

Choose ‘New applicant’ and after completing the first page of Form 1, a username and a password will be sent to your e-mail address.

Please use this username and password every time you login again.

After completing Form 1 under all tabs, please click on ‘Print and Finish’,

print the pdf-file,

sign the form as applicant

and ask your promoter to sign as well.

(If you are living abroad, you can let me take care of the promoter's signature.)

I will examine the Form, let the dean of the Faculty sign as well, and I will send the Form and the copies to the registrar of the Radboud University, so that he can sign you up as a PhD candidate.

P.S.1 For filling in your promoter’s name, please type the first three or four characters of his/her name, and then use the little magnifying glass at the right to collect your promoter’s name from the system!

P.S.2 In case you have a foreign diploma or if you don’t have a MA-diploma, the programme will ask for the name of the professor who supports a request for exemption; here you can fill in the name of your promoter.
