It is that time of year again. If you have a child who will be turning 5 before December 31, 2016 then it is time to register for Kindergarten. Please come into the office for a registration form.

You will need to bring your child’s birth certificate as well as proof of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, etc). If any of your neighbors have children who are turning 5 in 2016, please remind them that Kindergarten registration is taking place.

Prior to Pink Shirt day, one of the discussions we will be having with students is the difference between conflict and bullying.

Conflict is generally a disagreement or difference in opinion between peers who typically have equal power in their relationships. It’s usually an inevitable part of a group dynamic.

While

Bullying is a persistent pattern of unwelcome or aggressive behaviour that often involves an imbalance of power, and/or intention to harm or humiliate.

If you can help reinforce this difference at home that would be greatly appreciated.

Wednesday, February 24th is Pink Shirt Day and we will be doing many activities in support of this day. We will also be encouraging our students and staff to wear Pink.

Parents of 3 and 4 Year Olds
