WINDSOR LOCKS INLAND WETLANDS & WATERCOURSES COMMISSION WEDNESDAY January 8, 2014, 7:00 PM.

COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:

Ms. Dulka, Mr Courtney, Mr. Crochetiere, Mr. Malone, Ms. Perrier,

Also Present: Ms. Maura Robie, Wetlands Agent

Ms. Dulka called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.

Approval of 12-4-2013 minutes: Ms. Dulka asked for a motion to accept the 12-4-2013 minutes. Motion to accept made by Mr. Courtney, seconded by Mr. Crochetiere. Motion carried.

Update of Permit Followup/Old Business

Washout / Flooding from Seymour Brook: See Ms. Robie's Wetland Agent Report dated 1/8/14. Ms. Dulka to e-mail Mr. Barbarino on completion of the project.

Dibble Hollow: No Update. Ms. Dulka brought up the question of the required date of completion, along with members confirming the date of April 31, 2014.

Fox Hollow: See Ms Robie's Wetland Agent Report dated 1/8/2014.

3 Industrial Road: See Ms Robie's Wetland Agent Report dated 1/8/2014. She has yet to carry out her six month inspection as a result of the weather, and Ms. Kate Bednaz being very sick with Lyme disease.

Ct. Water Company: Ms. Dulka addressed some of the issues brought up in Ms. Robie's Wetland Agent Report dated 1/8/2014 in relation to unauthorized tree cutting on Town Property and Wetland areas. She asked Ms.Robie to send a letter to the representative of CT. Water Company she has been dealing with, stating they are in violation of town ordinances and codes by cutting in Wetland areas without permission. She says that someone needs to come to the next meeting to explain what they are going to do in remedy.

Suffield Street between #8 and 9 (Joe Bloch): Ms Robie has been unable to get out to inspection due to weather. She will go to site by next meeting.

Ahlstrom (2 Elm Street) They are not planning to do drainage swale maintenance due to snow until the weather improves. ( covered under permit 0507)

Woodbridge: Ms. Robie received a letter from Mr. Ken Slater, representing Woodbridge, stating that Catch Basin #8 is complete, as well as curbing of the entire road, and final grading and seeding between Units 50 and 52. Sediment and Erosion Controls are to be added and maintained, a report to be submitted every month.

Biodegradable erosion control blankets: See Ms. Robie's Wetland Agent's report dated 1/8/2014.

Bills and Correspondence: Ms. Dulka has received a copy of the Wetlands Commission budget for the year. Secretary's salary to remain at its current level
