Resource Map Templates

Purpose

The purpose of resource mapping is to be able to clearly articulate the resources you have to achieve your goals outlined in your SIP. It also helps to maximize efficiency and effectiveness during times of dwindling resources.

When to Use

This tool should be used at an SBLT meeting prior to the beginning of the year, and preferably in conjunction with your SIP process. Revisit throughout the year as needed.

How to Use

There are three main types of mapping your SBLT can do. First, you can resource map key content areas, such as literacy, math, and behavior. Second, you can map your teams: What are they? What is the purpose? What data do they review? How do teams communicate with one another? Third, you can map the skill set and interests of your staff as this might be helpful in thinking about a period during the school day where everyone gets something in addition to core (e.g., what I need time, or intervention/enrichment block).
