2008ANSWER /MSR Racer Contingency Program Rules

  1. Riders already on free product contracts with either Answer or MSR are not eligible for the Answer/MSR Racer Contingency Program. Riders on discount contracts may participate, but qualifying gear purchases must be made from a retail dealer andnot directly from Answer or MSR.
  2. Classes paid will be determined by promoter or sanctioning body for each participating series.
  3. To qualify, you must purchase matching gear (pant, jersey, gloves) from the MSR NXT/Classic, Max Air, Revolver, Strike/Strike Force, Renegade, Minor Threat, Starlet and Gem or AnswerAlpha/Air, F10, Ion, RockStar, MX Girl and Modeproductlines ONLY. AxxisSyncron DO NOT QUALIFYfor the program. - Gear may be purchased either at a walk-in dealer or via mail order.
  4. One set of gear purchased allows registration for one class inone series. Registration forms are sent out with series mailers, downloaded from club websites, or obtained at race signup.
  5. Original receipt and registration form for the participating series and class you want to race in must be sent to Tucker Rocky for contingency points to be awarded.
  6. Registered riders will be sent a coupon pack worth $150 in discounts on Tucker Rocky Products. Coupons can be redeemed at any Tucker Rocky dealer, but NOT via mail order.
  7. Riders will also be sent a one-time order form which allows purchase of up to $200 (after discount) in Answer or MSR casual wear – priced at 40% off retail – directly from Tucker Rocky.
  8. All coupons must be redeemed by the expiration date at any Tucker Rocky dealer.
  9. Riders must compete in (and be wearing the qualifying gear) a minimum of60% of the events in a series to qualify for contingency awards. To figure this number, take the total number of races and subtract 40%. If the total is .5 or over round up, if it’s under .4 round down. For example, an 8-race series requires the rider to participate in a minimum of 5 races.
  10. Registration forms must be postmarked no later than the date when only the minimum required races are left in the series. For example, registration for a 6 race series must be postmarked no later than the date of the 2nd race, no later than the 3rd of an 8-race series, etc.Riders must remember that any races run before the date the registration form is received, will not count toward the qualifying 60%.
  11. Promoters or sanctioning bodies are responsible for providing results to Tucker Rocky. Registered rider finishes will be tracked after receipt from series organizers.
  12. The Answer/MSR Racer Contingency Program will pay contingency points to registered riders finishing in the top 10 of their class. Note: a minimum number of riders must enter a class in order for points to be awarded thru 10th place. We will pay points for up to 75% of each class. In other words, if 7 rider’s sign up for a class, points will be given to 1st thru 5th place. If 15 riders sign up for a class, points will be given for all 10 places. – No double points will be awarded for overlapping series.
  13. Contingency points will be awarded as follows:

1st – 25 points 6th – 10 points

2nd – 22 points 7th – 7 points

3rd – 20 points 8th – 4 points

4th – 18 points 9th – 3 points

5th – 16 points 10th – 1 point

  1. Points earned will be tallied at the end of the series and converted to “Race Bucks” at the rate of $1 (retail) per point. Contingency “Race Buck” certificates will be given to the riders to be redeemed in person at any Tucker Rocky Dealer. Certificates are good onany merchandise distributed by Tucker Rocky.
  2. All contingency “Race Buck” certificates will expire and must be redeemed by the expiration date, or they will be forfeited.
  3. Riders must be wearing only a qualifying gear set, in every Series event, in order to earn Tucker Rocky contingency money.
