How do I print a page within ISIS?

Use your browser’s print feature (Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Chrome, Safari).

  • In ISIS, right click on the image you want to print, select:
  • In IE, click Print.
  • In Firefox click>This Frame >Print Frame.
  • In Safari click Print Frame.

(Chrome will only print the viewable part of the screen.)

  • Browser print options can also be selected:
  • Menu bar >File >Print.
  • Gear icon >Print.
  • Menu icon>Print.

Within these print options, using the print All feature, you will be able to print the entire length of the page, even what you cannot see until you scroll down. (Chrome will only print the viewable part of the screen.).

  • You do NOT need a screen capture program to print an ISIS page.
  • With IE 11, if you get a blank page to the printer, follow these steps:
  • From the menu bar select: Tool >Compatibility ViewSettings.
  • Or, from the Gear icon select: Compatibility View Settings.
  • In the window that opens, typeWisc.eduunderAdd this website and click the Add button.
  • Close the window.

How do I print just a selected part of an ISIS page?

  1. Highlight the continuous block of text you want to print.
  2. Depending on the browser, select:
  3. From the menu bar>File >Print.
  4. Gear icon>Print.
  5. Menu icon>Print.
  6. Select the page range of Selection.
  7. Click Print.

How can I see if data is going to be chopped off before I print?

Use your browser’s Print Preview feature.

  1. Depending on the browser, select:
  2. From the menu bar>File >Print Preview.
  3. Gear icon >Print>Print Preview.
  4. Menu icon >Print.
  5. From the menu bar >Print Preview.
  6. If the preview shows data being chopped off, that is exactly as it will print.

How can I print a page so it does not chop off part of the data?

Adjust your some or all of your Page Layout Orientation, Margins or ‘Shrink to Fit’ options.

  1. Depending on the browser, select:
  2. From the menu bar>File >Page Setup.
  3. Gear icon >Print.
  4. Menu icon >Print.
  5. Select orientation ofLandscape.
  6. Adjust margins narrower as needed.
  7. If the above steps are unsuccessful, choose Shrink to Fit.

Notes:

  • "Student Enrollment History" cannot fit on an 8½ x 11 sheet, even when printed in landscape.
  • When disposing of any printed materials that contain student IDs,
    please be sure to shred them!
