29th January 2015: We wrote to Cllr Godzik regarding a number of areas of proposed budget cuts that concerned us. He has replied that they feel they already support Arts & Creative learning in other areas, and that long term staff absence is an issue for schools to manage rather than being centrally funded. However, they may reconsider the proposed cuts to the Active Schools programme. 1 out of 3 is better than nothing...
23rd November 2014: Children 1st are inviting parents to produce "Parents’ video selfies". They hope tofocus on the positives of being a parent and are asking parents and carers who live in Scotland to make a video 'selfie' sharing what they love about being a parent. 28th October 2014: Parents' focus group meeting on pupil progress reporting will be held on Tues 25th November, 6.30 pm at Darroch. We were successful last year in reversing some of the more severely impacting cuts, so it is important that we respond.
22nd September 2014: A consultation is underway to help draw up plans for new 20 mph speed limits across Edinburgh. Following a successful pilot in South Edinburgh, a 20 mph speed limit is now proposed for the City Centre, main shopping streets and residential areas.You can email your views or use the online questionnaire.
