Notice of the Preparation of the East Meath Local Area Plan
(Bettystown / Laytown / Mornington East / Donacarney / Mornington)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 20 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2013 that Meath County Council being the Planning Authority for County Meath has prepared a Draft East Meath Local Area Plan for (Bettystown / Laytown / Mornington East / Donacarney / Mornington).
An Environmental Report has been prepared as part of a Strategic Environmental Assessment of the proposed Local Area Plan. The proposed East Meath Local Area Plan has undergone Appropriate Assessment Screening under the Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC).
Information
The Draft East Meath Local Area Plan will be on Public Display from Friday 13th December 2013 until Monday 3rd February 2014 and is available for inspection at the following locations;
· Planning Department, Abbey Mall, Abbey Road, Navan, Co. Meath. Opening Times: Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
· Slane Area Office, Main Street, Duleek, Co. Meath. Opening Times: Monday, 9.00am to 1.00pm, 2.00pm to 5.15pm, Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
· Coláiste na hInse, (Meath VEC), Bettystown, Co. Meath. Opening Times: Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 3.30pm (during school term).

Making a Submission / Observation
Written submissions or observations with respect to the Draft East Meath Local Area Plan for (Bettystown / Laytown / Mornington East / Donacarney / Mornington) and the Environmental Report are invited from members of the public and other interested parties.
Children, or groups or associations representing children, are entitled to make submissions or observations. All submissions and observation will be taken into consideration in the deciding upon the East Meath Local Area Plan.
Written submissions or observations should be marked “Draft East Meath Local Area Plan” and submitted to Planning Department, Abbey Mall, Abbey Road, Navan, Co Meath between Friday, 13th December 2013 and Monday, 3rd February 2014 inclusive. Submissions / observations must be received by 4.00pm on Monday, 3rd February 2014.
Written submissions / observations may also be made via email .
Submissions made via email must include the full name and address of the person making the submission and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.
All submissions / observations received during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the making of the East Meath Local Area Plan for (Bettystown / Laytown / Mornington East / Donacarney / Mornington).
