8AOB

8.1 From the floor it was felt by several members, that the sale of HQ in Clarges St and the purchase of Curlew St had been somewhat ‘cloaked in mystery’ and ended up as a’ fait complait’

Colin McCrorie gave a response identifying approximate positive sale and purchase costs and advising that whilst in previous years the relocation of the IBD HQ outside London had been considered, because the IBD is an international body a London HQ address adds weight to its provenance and authority

It was recommended an article in the forthcoming issue of the BDI on the new HQ would be well received which include the benefits of such a move

8.2Communication of events to the section members was raised and as well as thecontinued use of flyers certainly Dan Cannas’ weekly news was well received and suggested two simple and effective improvements

a)Change the font for each event listed

b)The first word of each event should be the name of the section holding the event Action JR

Also to email out to section members individually event details Action JR

8.3 Colin McCrorie who is to become one of the ‘permanent’ trustees of the IBD gave a resume of the new formalised role of trustees

8.4 An observation was made as to why no IBD HQ staff were again absent from the AGM. The Secretary advised invitations had been issued but as it is a section event, their attendance is not mandatory

There being no further business the Annual general meeting was closed at 7:45pm

9Their then followed after an extremely tasty buffet a visit around the new Braucon brewery installed and commissioned in 2013 by Mr Flo Vialan

Thanks for the hospitality were shown this eveningto Mr F Vialan and Purity Brewing Co
