Marine Litter Project Situation Analysis Checklist

This document sets out the issues you should consider in a project situation analysis. The purpose of this checklist is to help you to understand your local situation and to identify any key issues that may impact the planning or implementation of your project.

You can document your situation analysis in the table below or use it to complete the Project Situation and Need section of the MARELITT Project Plan Template. The length and detail of your situation analysis will vary according to the size and needs of your project. For small projects, the situation analysis may only be a few paragraphs long. In bigger projects involving a large number of vessels and/or multiple ports, it will need to be longer and more detailed.
