Low Cost
2. I prefer a LOWER COST option!!!
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Has correct information in the system!
2) Deals with claims promptly.
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) EOBs corrected. Current co-pay amounts are wrong for PPO.
3. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)Has lower deductibles
2)Has greater out of network coverage
3)Is easily (3 minute wait time or less) reached (in person) when
called by customers
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)See above
4. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
I think as long as most doctors are covered, Anthem, Humana or United
HealthCare would all do a great job.
Personally, I am happy with Humana. I know that a lot of the staff &
Faculty were not happy with the rise in premiums this year. I went
from paying zero to paying $40.00 a month. While I was not exactly
thrilled, I was not unhappy. I have worked in the insurance industry
and have kept in touch with co-workers still in the field. I know that
we were very, very lucky that are rates were not substantially higher.
Many people in the state of Kentucky are paying five times what I am
currently paying, for the same coverage.
I for one appreciate all of the thought and time that is taken to
provide us with the best plans possible.
7. I prefer a LOWER COST option
8. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) has a low monthly rate
2) has a low co-pay for visits and medicine
3) covers many medicines
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) they do not cover medicines which they covered in Dec 2004
2) lower monthly rate-it jumped $28 for a single user and yet they
don't cover as much
9. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Has 24 hour customer service
2) Has a PPO plan available
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)Lower prescription drugs
2)Lower co-pay for specialists
10. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) allows me access to my physician
2) doesn't make me get referrals to see specialists (like podiatrist or gynecologist)
3) has cheaper prescriptions
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Being fined $20 a month for not participating in some kind of discriminatory regular lifestyle indoctrination class - but only if you meet one a few special health circumstances.
2) Cheaper monthly premiums
3) Cheaper overhead
11. I prefer a LOWER COST option
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Processes claims quickly
2) local
3) recognizable
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) High cost compared to other local groups with same company
2) Possibility of deductible to offset high monthly cost
12. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)Superior customer service and easy access to their reps.
2)A direct line to some reps with out having to go through a Menu
driven process for 10 minutes and then when you finally get a live body they ask you the same 15 things you just entered into the menu driven phone system.
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)Customer service, less wait time to talk with a live body, more
knowledgeable reps.
13. I don't know how to cut and paste. I think I'd vote to keep costs down. Though I HATE Humana, it seems to be working OK--mostly because I don't use it much.
14. As of 2/11/05 I am satisfied with Humana continuing to administer our health plan. If our health insurance continues intact I do not need further choices. Yes I would love lower rates but only if there are no changes. I have an eighth month old and a spouse with IDDM. Both are receiving the kind and quality of medical care they need and require.
16. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Has low premiums
2) Has low out of pocket expenses (i.e. co pays and prescription drugs)
3) Has a large network of doctors to choose from
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) High cost for prescription drugs
17. I prefer a LOWER COST option or a MORE CHOICE option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Will consistently keep premium costs to a minimum
2) Process claims in an efficient/timely manner in order to maintain
most of my MDs on their plan
3) Maintain reasonable (low cost) co-pays on office visits/procedures/prescriptions
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) All the above issues are not working well under the current
administrator
18. A. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest
out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in who
administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance
Provider plan, like we currently have).
It was said that this is what we have so that our premiums would be lower; however, I've paid more in premiums these past 2 years, than ever. Is it really lower?
24. I prefer a LOWER COST
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)Settles Claims promptly
2)Deals with questions and assists in a confident and pleasant manner
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)None
25. I'll go with "A" LOWER-COST plan....
26. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) provides timely approval and payment for services
2) customer service lines open and personnel well trained to answer
questions
I'd like to comment that multiple administrators for the plan makes no
sense to me if the plan being administered is the same.
27. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Has everything possible accessible on-line
2) Has a good reputation for efficient, non-problematic claim processing
3) Good customer support (phone) with an ability to solve problems when
necessary
28. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)offers lowest premiums
2)offers lowest out-of-pocket expenses
3)offers lowest co-pay
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)lower co-pay for prescriptions
2)no co-pay for diagnostic testing
3)no additional co-pay for specialists
30. I prefer fewer choices at a reduced cost if it is not at a risk of
reducing the benefits offered by the provider.
31. A. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest
out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in who administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance
Provider plan, like we currently have).
33. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) deals with questions and problems in a timely manner
2) explains health benefits information so that non-experts can understand their coverage
3) provides excellent customer service, with many means of communication (phone, e-mail, Web, chat)
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Make benefits coverage easier to understand; simplify
2) Shorter holding time on phone calls
3) Make explanation of benefits letters easier to understand
34. I prefer a LOWER COST option with local administration.
35. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) claims processing
2) customer service
3) on-line services
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) I have no issues with the current administrator
37. I choose: A. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in who administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance Provider plan, like we currently have).
38. I prefer a LOWER COST option or a MORE CHOICE option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) More Choice
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Make less mistakes with the amount of copay I have to pay.
41. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Rising Co-Pays and Prescription Drug Costs
42. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest
out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in who
administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance
Provider plan, like we currently have).
Question: As we are paid by the state wouldn't it be better to bargain
with health care as a large group.
43. I prefer a LOWER COST option
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) the community doctors, majority, will accept
2) offers quality customer service and user friendly on line information
3) processes timely calls, claims and appeals
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Lack of good customer service
2) Bad reputation with the health care providers
3) Bad reputation with current and former insured for lack of service,
lack of timely filing, lack of consistent customer service.
45. I prefer a LOWER COST option.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) That covers all drugs/prescriptions at the same rate ($10 or $15 or even $20 per script)
2) That has good catastrophic coverage.
3) Will cover "expensive" procedures, treatments and operations.
46. I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest
out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance plan. It would be ideal
to have the premiums, co-pays for doctor visits and prescriptions for
the next two years lower than the ones we now pay for 2005.
47. Basically, I prefer a lower cost option - - but not at the price of
fewer choices than we currently have. When we switched to "Humana only"
2 years ago, I expected to be unhappy because I had Anthem coverage for
the previous 8-10 years.
The reality is that I was able to keep both my physician and
pediatrician. If that had changed, likely I would not have been
satisfied with Humana
48. A. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in who administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance Provider plan, like we currently have).
Thank you.
49. More interest in cost (A) than choice (B).
50. I prefer a LOWER COST option
I've been satisfied with Humana as our plan administrator.
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) The AdvanceRX prescription refill by mail service is NOT as good as the provider we had previously. The other provider sent emails to remind you it was time to refill and that was very helpful. It also would contact the doctor's office when you needed a refill for a prescription that had expired. The AdvanceRX online service is difficult to use. You have to have a prescription number to login, and I don't carry those around.
2) The online service provided by Humana (MyHumana) is also not very user friendly.
52. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)Provides timely Explanation of Benefits reports for Flex reimbursement
2)Provides an easy to use, informative web site
3)Includes Baptist and Caratas as member hospitals
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)No issues at this time
53. Having read Ginger Brown's email regarding choosing between lower costs or more choices, I would choose lower costs, meaning one choice, but I would want that one choice to be Humana. I realize that doesn't really answer the question, but I have had Humana insurance the entire 9 ½ years I've worked here at the university and I've been very pleased with them. I've had few problems and find their customer service to be extremely helpful. I can't even think of another insurance that holds a candle to Humana. There's my two cents worth, for all it's worth. Thanks,
54. I just want the lowest cost possible. If we can get choices great, otherwise, fine.
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)Humana
2)Anthem
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)Higher co-pays
55. I prefer a LOWER COST option
(as long as current covered doctors remain within our system.)
No current issues or problems
57. I prefer a LOWER COST option or a MORE CHOICE option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Lower cost....please
2) Lower cost
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) Better Customer Service( no take me around the barn 4 times and still no live body to speak with)
58. I prefer a LOWER COST option or a MORE CHOICE option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1) Lower cost option
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1) co-payment for prescription drugs - one of my co-payments went from
$20 to $50
2) vision
59. From what you have learned from many staff senate meetings, if the University decided to go with only one health insurance provider (see response below), do you feel it would be a major company such as Humana or Blue Cross/Blue Shield? I don't want a small company handling this. I feel one of the companies I mentioned are large enough and sound enough to
handle the university's needs.
A. COST: I would rather have the lowest available premiums and
Lowest out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance but have no choice in
who administers my health insurance plans (i.e. a single Health Insurance
Provider plan, like we currently have).
61. I prefer a LOWER COST option. I would rather have the lowest available premiums and lowest out-of-pocket expenses for my health insurance and don't really care what company administrators our plan. If a single Health Insurance Provider keeps our costs low, then that is the way to go.
Comments on Humana:
I have chosen Humana in the past 10 years (even when we had another choice) and have no complaints. I have used their 800# customer service several times in regards to benefits and claims. I also like their myhumana.com website where I can review my claims and other information. Based on my experience, I think Humana does a fine job and we should keep them.
63. I prefer a LOWER COST option:
The ideal health plan administrator is one which:
1)claims processing
2)customer service
Issues with the current administrator I'd like to see addressed are:
1)none
64. I prefer a LOWER COST option as long as a reasonable selection of providers exists. If the doctors/hospitals/drug providers are so few that good health provision is jeopardized, cost becomes less important.
