DOWNTOWN OGDEN

“Live, Shop, Work and Play”

Downtown Ogden Utah is experiencing what many are calling a “Renaissance of economic reinvestment and culture resurgence as the central gathering place for the northern Utah region.” With the development that has already occurred, downtown Ogden is indeed becoming the gathering place for northern Utah. The Junction development has already attracted thousands of people from all over northern Utah and is becoming a gathering place for entertainment, dinning, shopping, recreation and living. When the Junction is completed it will have approximately 400 residential housing units, 2 office buildings, a number of restaurants, movie theaters, a hotel, shopping, a children’s museum, plenty of parking and Utah’s most attractive recreation center, the Solomon Center. The Solomon Center provides dinning, bowling, arcades, and indoor rock climbing, sky diving and surfing. The new Gold’s Gym is also located in the Solomon Center.

The foot traffic counts for this area have exceeded all expectation and will continue to grow as development at The Junction and surrounding areas are completed. Attached you will find a list of the projected number of visitors to The Junction and the surrounding areas.

In addition to The Junction, the River Project will be home to approximately 600 residential housing units, restaurants, offices, specialty shops, and other retail opportunities. The River Project will be located within two blocks north of The Junction. The majority of these planned housing units are mid to high-end condominiums and single family dwellings. The LDS Church will also be building another office building, just like the one at The Junction, directly to the north of the Temple. They will also be doing a housing project that will contain around 80 units of upscale apartment living. Along with the office and housing, there are also plans for a hospital to be built on that same block. Historic 25th street has also undergone, and will continue to undergo, major revitalizations that will include shopping, dinning, offices and living. People who live and work in the downtown area will be able to live, shop, work and play without ever having to get into a car

There are also plans that would bring a gondola to downtown Ogden and to the ski resorts at the top of the mountain. The plans include having the gondola pass through, and stop at, The Junction. With the gondola, Ogden Utah will be like no other place in North America. People will come from all over the world to ski and enjoy Ogden and its natural resources. With the renaissance and resurgence in downtown Ogden, The Junction truly is a place to “Live, Shop, Work and Play”.
