Congratulations to the White Station Debate Team who won the Memphis Urban Debate League Championships again. Kennedy Roberson & Anthony Madubuonwu won 1st place while Nancy Yuan & Brandy Yuan won second place. Both teams will move on to the National Championships in Washington DC in April.

·All tennis players need to stop by Mr. Waller's room to pick up important information and forms. All forms are due by THURSDAY. No exceptions!

·Volunteers to tutor at students at Grahamwood should see Mrs, Holland for more information! This is a very fulfilling opportunity to help kids learn to read.

·To tryout to become a Basketball cheerleader, first write your number on the list outside Mrs. Gray’s room E200. There will be a Mandatory Parent Meeting isWEDNESDAY AT 6PMin the cafeteria, when the paperwork will be given out. The tryout dates areMarch 28 and 29. There is $30 tryout fee and you must have a valid physical in order to participate in the clinic and tryouts. We are so excited to have you try out for our Basketball Cheerleading Team! TED-Ed Club's next meeting will beTOMORROW. We will meet in thelibrary for an hour after school to watch and discuss TED talks and continue writing our own talks. Remember to turn in your signed form if you haven't already.

·JROTC is having their annual ballSATURDAYat the Botanic gardens from7-11pm.Tickets are $25 for 1 and 2 for $40. You can buy tickets after school in the JROTC building from Major Michele Solis , Colonel Taylor Ratliff ,or Captain Linzie Easterling.

If you are planning to apply to take AP Computer Science A, the Java programming course, you must take a logicpre-test onWednesday, March 7at 2:30 in M205, Ms. Agee's room. The test should take about 30 minutes. If you cannot come that day, please talk to Ms. Agee.

You will not be considered for the AP class if you do not take the pre-test.

·Junior/Senior Prom Information. Prom is April 7, 2018, at Minglewood Hall. Prom guideline sheets can be picked up now in the Student Support Service Office. Every student MUST have a guideline sheet signed by a parent/ guardian in order to purchase a ticket. The guideline sheets also have the information needed about restricted dress attire and guest information. Tickets to prom will be $45 dollars each. Once a ticket is sold…it is non-transferable and must be used by the name attached to that ticket. Tickets will go on sale the week after Spring Break…March 19th– March 23rd.Only Seniors can purchase tickets March 19th-March 21st. Juniors can begin buying tickets March 22nd. Seniors, it is important that you purchase your tickets on the Senior Only Days because once we meet capacity…we will not sell additional tickets.

·University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Undergraduate Admissions is hosting a Research Day for High School Juniorson March 24from 9:00 am—5:00 pm. Registration closesonMarch 12, and it is co-sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Research and the Office of Undergraduate admissions, this event is the first of its kind. Research Day will showcase some of the most exciting research areas on campus. During breakout sessions you will visit labs, studios, classrooms, and more to learn about the experiential learning activities happening across disciplines. You will also meet professors and current UT students who are actively involved in research. Parents and guests are welcome to attend!
