Introduction

This guide provides information on the preferred browser versions for maximum performance in the OurWorld-NA portal. OurWorld-NAis fully functional using the following IE (Internet Explorer) browser versions:

  • IE 8 throughIE 11
  • Safari on Windows with limited functionality

OurWorld-NA is not supported in Chrome orSafari on iPad.

Browser Compatibility Setup

In order to use OurWorld-NA successfully Compatibility View Settings must be enabled. To enable:

Step 1

Navigate to OurWorld then click Tools located below the URL or address bar (Figure 1). If you do not see the menu bar, press Alt + T.

Step 2

Select Compatibility View Settings(Figure 2)

Step 3

Serco-na.com will appearin the Add this website field. Click Add to add it to the Websites you’ve added to Compatibility Viewlist (Figure 3).

Click Close.

Web Dynpro Error

Users may encounter an error while accessing various areas within the portal when using Internet Explorer(Figure 4). To resolve, add the Serco-na.com domain to Compatibility View Settings by following the above steps.

Appendix A: Browser Functionality List

OurWorld-NA is fully supported using Internet Explorer 8 through11. Safari on Windowsmay work but has several limitations. Safari on iPad as well as Chrome is not supported. The matrix below provides details on portal components supported within OurWorld-NA.

*As of January 2016 status changed to green. All portal functions work with IE 11.
