FACULTY POSITION: PART-TIME HARP INSTRUCTOR
Requirements:
Bachelor of Music or Music Education Degree (Harp) required, and some training in Suzuki Method. Instructor should be a good performer. Instructor should be able to teach Children through Adults, beginning through advanced levels. Instructor to teach regular weekly Private Lessons during the Academic Year (September through the end of May plus a Make Up Week as needed), excluding Holiday and Spring Breaks, as well as ‘Flexible’ Summer Semester Session with a Minimum of five weeks up to a Maximum of ten weeks, beginning June and ending the third week in August. Lesson length is generally determined by age and level of advancement: 30; 45; 60 minutes per student. Instructor may also teach Harp Ensemble: two students minimum and more on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule during the Academic Year. Instructor must have a positive attitude; be moral, and ethical.
Experience:
Prior Harp teaching of Private/Individual Lessons required; prior teaching of Group Lessons and/or Ensembles desirable.
Starting Date:
Fall Semester 2017, September, Week of “Labor Day” up to Holiday Break; Spring Semester 2018, early January through end of May plus “Make-Up Week,” as needed; Summer Semester2018, flexible, beginning June through 3rd week in August
