Property Director II of the Baierl Family YMCA

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Accountable for the day-to-day maintenance and operations of YMCA facilities and grounds. Provide repair service as required to keep the facilities safe and functioning properly for members and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS

·  Provides overall coordination of facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance program.

·  Ensures the proper operation of all mechanical systems.

·  Insures the entire facility and grounds are maintained in a clean and orderly manner that exceeds the members and volunteers expectations.

·  Completes repair work and projects in a timely manner. Oversees all contractors that work in the facility and grounds. Request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.

·  Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts., etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.

·  Develops budgets supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitors expenditures against budget.

·  Trains, develops, schedules and directs assigned staff and volunteers. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.

·  Advises management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.

·  Ensures that assigned vehicles (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

·  Updates facility plans periodically. Develop annual plan for capital projects.

·  Responsibilities are for multiple branches.

·  Participate in Facilities Cabinet and Committees as needed.

·  Insure the branch and grounds are maintained in a safe and risk free condition. Motivates staff to follow best practices as it relates to safety & risk.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·  Technical Degree or a minimum of 5 years work experience in property management, engineering or facility management field.

·  Must understand the work acumen of mechanical, electrical, plumbing system operations.

·  Must have the ability to lift up to fifty pounds, stoop and stand for extended period.

·  CPO (Certified Pool Operator), PA Pesticide Applicator Certification and Allegheny County Bathing Place Manager certification is required within 120 days of employment.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Computer skills, Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, Ability to develop relationships, establish trust and credibility with suppliers, vendors, staff and members.

·  Current and continued driver’s license with record that meets the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh standards.

·  Must respond to emergencies at any time.

The Penn Hills YMCA is located in East Pittsburgh and easy access to the downtown area. The incumbent should have a strong background in membership sales and development, progressive health and wellness programming, or donor development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS

·  Manages the branch in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

·  Manages the operating budget and provides leadership to program launches, new program development, annual support campaign and financial development activities.

·  Provides leadership and motivation to the Branch Board of Management and plays a significant role in recruitment, training and development of Board volunteers to ensure a strong and productive board.

·  Collaborates and partners with businesses and community organizations in order to further the work of the YMCA.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experiences in a membership, programming, or donor development field.

·  Must have proven supervisory skills in hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating staff and volunteers, as well as developing an effective staff team.

·  Experience working with corporate business leaders / corporate clients preferred.

·  Capital development experience is desired.

·  Must have visual, physical, and auditory ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the head coach, and in accordance with the policies of the Baierl Family YMCA and the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh the Assistant Coach will be responsible for planning and administrating practice for assigned training groups, and overseeing team members. Assistant coaches will be at scheduled swim meets, team meetings, and team activities. He or she will be responsible for adherence to finances, execution of the program and for participants. He or she is accountable for fulfillment of best practices as they relate to the YMCA Mission Driven Promises. He or she will serve as a liaison between the YMCA and the participants and the parents.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

·  Experience: Strong background in aquatics and competitive swimming.

·  Experience of 2 plus years as a YMCA swim coach

·  Coaches Safety Certification: (can complete upon hire)

·  -Principles of YMCA Competitive Swimming and Diving

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Membership Director, the Membership Service Representative will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of excellent service to members, guests, and program participants. Maintains cleanliness and organization and creates a welcoming environment for the front desk and lobby. This person will also be responsible for member engagement with one another and the Y, and will implement all front desk procedures and be the liaison between the full time staff and the welcome center staff. This person must also be able to tell the YMCA story in a compelling way that influences others to donate both time and resources to support the YMCA mission and strategy. Staff must be able to articulate how the YMCA is a charitable organization.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

·  The membership Sales Service Representative will be required to work some weekdays, some weeknights, and some weekends. Flexibility is essential to this position.

·  Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

·  Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software. Knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs required, Daxko experience preferred.
