Call to Order – Janet Comerford called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm and initiated the flag salute.

Secretary’s Report – Peggy Mikulicz presented the November Secretary’s report. Jim Eska moved to approve the November report and it was seconded by Beth Slusser.

Treasurer’s Report

October Report presented (not available at November meeting). Peggy Mikulicz moved to approve the October Treasurer’s Report and it was seconded by Beth Slusser.

November Report presented. Peggy Mikulicz moved to approve the November Treasurer’s Report and it was seconded by Donna Lipyanek.

OLD BUSINESS

Girls Soccer – Sports Rep Millie Hunt

Boys Soccer – Sports Rep Patty Reichardt

Varsity 17-2-2, along with 10-0 in our division. Dan Weldon had 26 goals (new school record) and 3 assists. Calvin Granger was our second leading scorer with 11 goals and 11 assists. Those two, along with Karl Stephan and Matt Blanke were named first team All-Conference Raritan Division and Dan Hunt was named to the second team. Delaware Valley began the season on a school-record 15-game unbeaten streak (13-0-2) and finished it playing in its first sectional championship game while setting a school record for wins in a season (17-2-2). In between, the Terriers went 10-0 to win their first outright Skyland Conference Raritan Division title in 22 years.

Also, the Express Times named Coach Kirschenmann Coach of the Year and Dan Weldon Player of the Year.

The Varsity and JV teams will be participating in the Hillsborough Christmas Tournament

Wrestling – Sports Rep Cara Smith

The wrestling team is busy preparing for the start of the 2010-2011 season. There are presently 56 members which is the largest team ever at Del Val. (The 1988 team finished up with 53 members)

23 of those students made Honor Roll for the first marking period.

The season kicks off on Friday, Dec 17th at Voorhees HS. The first home match is Thursday, December 23rd. It will be an early start (3:15) due to the ½ day.

“Gold Rush” Night will be Jan 19th vs Phillipsburg. Coach Fitz has linked this match to a community service activity. Donations will be made to breast cancer research. There is a Gold Rush clothing order form for anyone wanting to order t-shirts/sweatshirts. Orders are due no later than 12/24.

Membership: Currently 103 members

Del Val Sports Clothing Sales –

Past Sales: Football state consolation game, Del Val Holiday Sale (Dec 2), Fall Varsity Awards Night (Dec 2), Varsity Jacket Order Night (Dec 2). Varsity Jackets ordered (most ever) - 35

Tutoring Club – SAT Prep

Two individuals attended the Dec 11th date and two are already signed up for Jan 22.

501c(3) – More information has been requested. Information supplied; awaiting approval.

Sports Program -

Pictures were taken today. Program to be set up similar to the Fall program. Ordering only 100.

NEW BUSINESS:

High School principal, Doug Sanford was in attendance.

Winter Sports Pep Rally will take place during school hours on Friday, December 17.

Spring Sports Pep Rally plans: similar to last year-- Spirit Week and a Pep Rally held one evening in late March.

Considerations to change the opponent for the next year’s Thanksgiving football game. Possibility of prior night (Wednesday) game.

A motion was made by Jim Eska to adjourn the meeting at 8:07; Beth Slusser seconded the motion. The next meeting will be held on January 10th.
