(Click on the links below to open up the work package documents) / Work Package Description / Deployment Dates
/ ODS Consolidation / The consolidation of the ODS instances will require work to be performed on the environment (hardware), the ETL (staging, ODS and DW), the reporting & analysis applications (security) and for OSTX. / 3/24/09 to 6/12/09
/ Metadata & Global Model / Since these are global changes (all tables in all models will be revised) we will maximize our efficiency by making a number of other data model changes at this point which are also global in scope (will affect all or most entities). / 5/13/09 to 8/18/09
/ Global Extract Enhancements / The revisions designed and implemented in this work package will be more fundamental and global (impacting all extracts) in scope. / 5/26/09 to 8/28/09
/ Global ETL Enhancements / Every ETL procedure will be revised in this work package / 4/16/09 to 8/26/09
/ Focused Model / Conform the KIDS data models to the current data requirements for state and federal compliance reporting and for OSTX data transfer. / 7/16/09 to 8/13/09
/ Focused Extract / Unlike the fundamental extract changes in work package 03 these changes will be much more focused in nature building off of the work completed previously. / 9/14/09 t0 9/22/09
/ Focused ETL / The focused data elements added to the KIDS data models and to the Regional extracts in the proceeding work packages must be successfully implemented in the ETL procedures along with the corresponding updates to the validations. / 9/22/09 to 9/25/09
/ ETL Advancements / These ETL advances address Performance Enhancements to the ETL processing and other tuning efforts to meet service level goals. / 9/23/09 to 10/20/09
/ Metadata Advancements / Work will be performed to expand the metadata repository, provide visibility to this data, and develop reports and presentation features in the reporting layer which will facilitate analysis and improve the user experience. / 11/23/09 to 1/11/10
/ Analytics & Presentation / Assist the KIDS Team in bringing the KIDS reporting environment to a sustainable maturity by applying best practices and industry experience to the content, including reports and dashboard components, and processes used to manage the environment. / 9/25/09 to 11/6/09
/ Compliance Reporting / Address the requirement to provide the Regional submitters with ODS data transparency (the Regions have the capability to validate that the data submitted is the data loaded in the ODS). / 11/6/09 to 11/27/09
/ Consulting / Reviews of the implementation of KIDS at the Regions to ensure the environment, processing, data selection, and data quality are in conformance with the standards set at a state-level. This work will be accompanied by several documents to aid the Regions. / 6/12/09 to 11/30/09
/ OSAT Downloads Integration / This work package aims to complete the outbound OSAT data flow by integrating the OSAT data provided into the local Regional Data Warehouses / 7/16/09 to 1/1/10
