KEY POINTS DISCUSSED
· Mike Roberts CBC Communications Officer attended the meeting to discuss the current publications for the Sheltered Court schemes. It was agreed that we would continue with the status quo. Any stories and information from the sheltered courts received by the Customer Engagement team will appear in Your Homes Matters where possible. · Copies of the Senior Citizens Forum Terms of Reference will be sent out to members to read and comments will be asked for at the next meeting.
· Vicky has asked if she can come along to any Court coffee meetings where members of public attend to discuss the Lifeline Service.
· An explanation of the Tenant Bid fund was given by Sally with a timetable.

· Tenant bids for 2017-18 were presented by Hameed Miah
· All costs are estimated at this stage and based on initial visits.
Bid 1-Grays Court
Request for an electric awning off the lounge area. This is for tenants to sit under during the summer and during duller days to offer more opportunities for them to be outside in the fresh air. Estimated Costs £1500
Bid 2- Beresford Court
The railings have faded and paint is peeling away which has caused splintering. The railings need striping back, repainted and some re-enforced. Estimated costs £2000
Bid 3-Riversdale Court
Residents have bid for a new shed for extra storage for bikes and wheelchairs. Estimated costs £2000
Bid 4- Arnold Smith House
The residents would like a pathway to the gazebo as they are currently walking over grass, making it wheelchair accessible. The gazebo requires repairing as it leaks making it unusable. Estimated costs £2000
· The above 4 bids were unanimously agreed work will commence April 2017-March 2018.
· Three bids were made that did not meet the Tenant Bids policy criteria.
Martin Court-a covered walkway
St Pauls-Carport
Babington Court-Declined their original bid for a greenhouse.
Consultation will take place at martin & St Paul’s to consider alternative options
· We will be having a tenant bid review in September 2017
Any Other Business
· Christine Ansell Head of Landlord Services will be retiring from Charnwood Borough Council 17/3/17
· Due to a budget underspend in other departments new washing machines/Dryers have been ordered for:
Beresford Court
Martin Court
Babington Court
Riversdale
· New furniture for 2016-17 for St Pauls and St Peters
New curtains for Arnold Smith House
· We are recruiting for new cleaners for the courts this week
· The next round of Court Tenant Meetings will be conducted by Karen Yates and Sharon Dunnill the Team Leaders. Sally will continue to attend the Senior Citizens Forum.
· We have invested some money in a new Lifeline call system and will look to offer more assisted technology such as door sensors, bed sensors and fall detectors in the future.
· Window Cleaning- Sally is aware of the issues and will be meeting with the company to discuss complaints.
· Veterans and Armed Forces Breakfast Clubs are now being run on the second Saturday of every month at the Toby Carvery, Forest Road, Loughborough 9.30am-11.30am £5 with unlimited tea and coffee.
