Held under the sanction of Inland Empire Swimming, Inc. Sanction # IE-16-1301 and approval of USA Swimming
In granting this approval it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming and Inland EmpireSwimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Use of audio or visual recording, including the use of a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Deck changing is prohibited: Changing in or out of swimsuits other than in the facility locker rooms or other designated area designated by the host facility is not appropriate and is prohibited.

NachesCity Pool –ApplewoodPark -Naches, Washington – 12 miles west of Yakima
Course Description:
Eight Lane – twenty-five yard – outdoor pool – All starts will be from the deep end.Starting blocks conform to USA Swimming regulations. Starting area depth is 9’ and the turn end depth is 3’4”. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2(4).Only swimmers, coaches, officials and meet workers are permitted in the deck area. Spectators are not allowed in the deck area without proof of current USA membership. The deck area is considered to be a 3’ area from the edge of the pool and the area behind the starting platforms up to the timer chairs. Deck area is wheelchair accessible. Colorado Timing System will be used. Meet marshals will be present.
Swims Database:
The USA Swimming SWIMS database requires that ALL swimmer data be correct before any meet data (swimmer times) will be loaded into the USA swimming database. If you know of any swimmer data that is NOT correct, please, notify the Meet Referee as soon as possible. The data will be sent to USA Swimming within 3 days of the meet.
Eligibility:
Open to all 2016 USA registered swimmers and YMCA swimmers. ID number must be included on the master entry form and all non-USA swimmers must include the USA Swimming Waiver of Liability form. Age on the first day of the meet determines age group to enter. Age groups are 8 & U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and open. Athletes with a disability are welcome and are asked to provide advance notice of necessary accommodations.
Rules:
Current USA Swimming rules will govern throughout the meet. Inland Empire rules and procedures also apply. All events are times finals. Coaches of USA Swimming members must be coach members. Proof of current certification must be produced upon request by the Meet Referee. Coaches of non-USA Swim teams must submit a completed USA Swimming Waiver of Liability form with their team entries. This is required for the supervision of swimmers during warm-ups and coaching during the competition phase of the meet. Swimmers participating in the meet without their team coach must report to the Meet Referee at the start of the warm-up session. A coach will be assigned and other instructions may be given.
Entries:
All swimmers may enter 5 individual events per day and one relay. No time (NT) entries will be accepted,. Swimmers must compete in their own age group with the exception of open events. The open portion of the meet is open to 11 & over, provided they do not exceed the 5 event limit or duplicate events. Open relays may include any age swimmer, but they can only swim in one relay per day. Entries will be limited to include all teams up to and including the team that has the 400th swimmer. Non-.conforming times (SCM/LCM) will be accepted and times may be converted to yards. Swimmers must submit a time for the 400IM, 500 Free and 1650 Free. These events will be deck seeded with a positive check-in and will be limited to the fastest 4 heats of men and women. Check-in will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet. Inland Empire Swimming scratch rules will be in effect. Entries may me submitted by e-mail to: . Note: Please send the following reports: (1) Commlink entry file from TM (2) print to file (word format) of individual entries and team relay entries and (3) print to file (word format) of meet fees due. Entries will not be accepted unless hard copies and fees are received by the entry deadline. You may also submit entries on the Inland Empire master entry form found on the IE website. Please, prioritize your 4th and 5th events. The meet manager and referee may choose to eliminatethese events if the meet is oversubscribed.
Entry Deadline:
Entries must be received by Wednesday, June 15, 2016. NO late entries will be accepted. NO phone entries will be accepted. We recommend sending entries, certified mail, return receipt requested. Please send entries early, this meet may fill quickly. (Inland Empire teams must submit entries by Friday, June 7, 201 to guarantee acceptance in the meet.)

Awards:
Awards will be based on seedtime and scoring for individual events and relays will be to 6th place.
Team Trophies: 1st through 3rd place (Scoring for team awards will include 8&U, 9-10, 11-12,13-14, and open events and all relay events.
Trophies: 1st through 3rd in each individual event, Layered ribbons: 4th through 6th, single ribbons for 7th – 12th.
Relays: Layered ribbons 1st through 6th.
Warm-ups:
Saturday and Sunday: 11 and over – 8:00AM to 8:45AM
10 and under – 8:45AM to 9:15AM
No lane assignments – lanes 2 and 5 will be designated sprint lanes. (Diving only in designated sprint lanes – one direction only) Swimmers must be supervised by a coach.

Visiting officials are welcome and encouraged to help. Please bring current certification and USA Swimming registration cards; these will be verified by the Meet Referee before deck assignments are made.
Note:
Camping is available in the park adjacent to the pool. RV”s must park at the NachesValleyHigh School above the park. A full concession stand will be available during the meet. Breakfast will be served both days.

From I-82 (either direction) take the White Pass/Naches exit – follow Highway 12 to Naches and turn right at the stoplight. Follow Naches Avenue – through downtown Naches – pool and ApplewoodPark will be on the left, just below NachesValleyHigh School.

The 500 Free will be deck seeded, limited to 4 heats of girls and 4 heats of boys, positive check-in required.
Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet. Events will be swum together but scored separately. There will be a 15 minute break (after event 28) before session 2 begins and a 10 minute break (after event 58) before session 3 begins. Check-in for the 1650 will be announced during the meet. Swimmers in the 1650 event must provide their own timers and lap counters.
