Age UK Gloucestershire is embarking on an ambitious plan to make our county the UK’s best place to grow old. To make it happen, we need people with vision, drive and initiative in key leadership roles.

Our Navigate function is central to what we do. It providesolder people and their familiesinformation and support to help themfind their way around later life and make informed decisions on age-related issues. That makes it our organisation’s front door – it’s where we make a crucial first impression on clients and customers – as well asour eyes and ears when it comes to understanding and responding to the needs of older people in our region. The Navigate team sees the effects of national government policy, of healthcare strategies and local authority decisions at first-hand and as such are central in informing our service development and campaigning response.

The Navigate Manager drives all this work forward, leading a team of employed and volunteer workers to deliver exceptional quality of service. We need someone who can now take the service forward in great strides to transform how we meet our clients’ needs.

A great candidate will be:

•A self-disciplined innovator

•Motivated by a desire to improve people’s lives
