Cub Scouts, Tiger Cubs, Wolf Scouts, and Bear Scouts Opportunities:


Historic Brattonsville and Museum of York County’s walking trails can be used by Cub Scouts and their families to create unique experiences. Tiger Cubs can complete “Go See It” activities, Wolf Scouts can fulfill Achievement Tasks and Electives, and Bear Scouts can satisfy Achievement Groups all while enjoying some of the best hiking trails that York County has to offer. Contact our scheduler for details on how we can help you accomplish these tasks. Regular site admission fees apply. No minimum or maximum number of scouts required.

Historic Brattonsville / The scout will learn of Col. William Bratton and the Battle of Huck’s Defeat using cultural and natural resources at our historic site / Fulfills all of 4.,
Does not complete the merit badge.
Scout will need to complete the rest of the badge requirements before this program if merit badge approval is to be given. / Length of Program: 1.5 hours

American Cultures

Historic Brattonsville / Requirements fulfilled- 1.a, c or e)
Self-guided tour. /
By attending a Living History Saturday or the annual living history program: By the Sweat of Our Brow, the scout will learn of the African American culture and their lives in American history. This will fulfill a portion of the requirements to earn this badge. / Length: varies but plan 2-3 hours.
No minimum or maximum number of scouts required; self-directed.
