AARF VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

Volunteers must read and sign this volunteer agreement prior to working with AARF.

As a non-profit organization that handles many animals, AARF does not always have a medical or behavioral history for animals with which volunteers may work. While some training may be provided, a certain amount of risk is always involved with unpredictable animals. AARF strong recommends that all volunteers have current tetanus vaccinations and that those who have suppressed immune systems consult with a physician prior to volunteering. In consideration of this opportunity to volunteer with AARF, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

I recognize that animals may carry diseases and assume the risk of being bitten, scratched, or injured in connection with my volunteer work with AARF.

I understand that it is the policy of AARF not to disclose information about animals’ former owners to potential adopters. Any discussions regarding potential adopters must be confined to an area not accessible to the general public.

Volunteers are a reflection of AARF. I will treat all animals, people, and property I come in contact with at AARF with respect. I will refrain from using profanity and conduct myself with courtesy at all times.

If I stop being a volunteer, or upon request from AARF, I will promptly return all AARF supplies, equipment, animals, monies, or other items in good condition.

I have accurately and truthfully completed this volunteer application and agreement.
