Some syndicates walked and gawked at other classrooms as part of syndicate meeting. / Some Team leaders still reluctant to talk and share good practise. Began with Team Leaders who were more confident with collaborative and integrated planning. Challenge for leaders – how do you scaffold the learning of your teachers? Is the learning evident in each of your classrooms?

All teachers completed an informal observation in guided reading. 1. To give peer feedback. 2. To reflect upon and consolidate own practise. / Evidence of co-constructed criteria for chosen comprehension strategy in classrooms.
Lisa completed 22 of these observations, as she wanted to see as many teachers as possible. The writing up of these observations took its tool 3 + hours per observation. It was an overambitious feat. Written observations finally completed in school holidays. Data from the observations still to be collated and analysed compared to term 3 data. New Literacy leaders now set up/trained to complete these observations late term 3.
Debrief to be undertaken in syndicate meetings early term 3. DPC to analyse findings.
