Amite- According to District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux, on September 21, 2011, Kathy Guilliums, 47, was sentenced by Judge Elizabeth Wolfe to five (5) years with the Department of Corrections for the 2005 Vehicular Homicide of Kenneth Robinson.
On Sunday May 15, 2005, Guilliums was driving down LA 440 when she crossed the center line, side-swiping Robinson. Robinson’s vehicle began to spin, traveling 92 feet before colliding with a wooden fence post. The victim was then transported to Hoods Hospital in Amite, LA, where he was pronounced deceased soon after.
Guilliums blood alcohol level tested at .16. She was arrested by State Police Troopers and booked into the Amite jail.
Guilliums, of 15110 HWY 440, Kentwood, LA, was convicted of Vehicular Homicide during a bench trial in May 2011, Judge Wolfe presiding. Assistant District Attorney Le’Anne Malnar handled the prosecution, said Perrilloux.
