The following is the activity of the Washington Police Department since the last press

09/01/13 1518 The management at Pillsbury State Park reported unsafe actions by the driver of a
motor vehicle. Ofc. Corrigan spoke to the operator.
09/02/13 1208 Ofc. Corrigan responded to Bradford Springs Rd. for medical alarm activation. The
resident had fallen, but could get up.
09/02/13 1233 An unwanted person was reported at a Washington Hts. Rd. residence. Ofc. Corrigan
identified him and instructed to leave the area and not return.
09/02/13 1550 A person brought in a smart phone that was found on an ATV trail.
09/03/13 1338 Chief Marshall called to Marlow Rd. for an alarm. All was in order with no problems.
09/04/13 2259 A caller reported a concern with a Washington Hts. Rd. resident she could not
contact. Chief Marshall checked on him and found he had left his phone in the car.
09/06/13 1130 Ofc Corrigan completed a VIN verification on Dole Schoolhouse Rd.
09/06/13 2042 Hillsboro Police requested Washington Police look for a vehicle travelling north on Rt.
31 dueto suspicious activities. Chief Marshall did not locate it.
09/07/13 0157 Hillsboro police requested Chief Marshall respond with a thermal imager to assist in
locating an intoxicated female hiding in the shrubs.
09/07/13 1912 Chief Marshall asked the host of a large party on Faxon Hill Rd. to have all his guests’
park on one side of the road.
09/07/13 1930 Hillsboro Police referred a reckless driving complaint to Chief Marshall.
09/07/13 1819 Northfield Police asked Chief Marshall to contact a Madison Dr. resident about a
friend that needed assistance.
09/07/13 1843 Chief Marshall discovered a mattress and box spring dumped at the entrance to the
Town Forest on Faxon Hill Rd. There was nothing to identify the owner, and he was
not brave enough to seek DNA samples.
09/08/13 1114 Ofc. Puchtler checked an alarm in Lake Ashuelot Estates. No problem was found.
09/09/13 1727 Community Service event- Chief Marshall displayed the cruiser and department
snowmobile in the Newport Car Nutz Cruzers Cruiser Night.
09/10/13 0929 A trespassing complaint was investigated by Ofc. Corrigan on Long Pond Rd.
09/14/13 1159 Chief Marshall checked an alarm on Marlow Rd. No problem found.
09/14/13 1220 An E. Washington Rd. resident complained of a neighbor driving too fast by his
house. Chief Marshall spoke with the offending driver.
09/14/13 1633 Chief Marshall took a complaint of a missing 70 year old woman from Sugar House
Rd. Investigation on going.
09/14/13 1744 A woman called for medical assistance on Washington Dr. Chief Marshall assisted
until Rescue arrived to care for her.
09/14/13 2032 Chief Marshall investigated a collision on Presidential Dr. He found Brian Colley, age
34, of Washington had gone over the edge of an embankment while avoiding a deer
in the road. He struck a tree causing moderate damage to his 2003 Jetta. He was
wearing his safety belt and was not injured.
09/17/13 1328 Chief Marshall found an escape herd of goats on Lempster Mtn. Rd. He contacted the owner, who with the help of her Border Terrier rounded them up and put them away.
09/17/13 1343 A FBI agent requested Chief Marshall contact a town resident in regards to an on-
going investigation. Message delivered.
09/17/13 1451 The Town Clerk turned over a bad check a resident wrote for a car registration. The
resident had not responded to the Clerk’s 14 day demand for payment letter. Chief
Marshall investigating.
09/19/13 0650 Emergency services responded to a single vehicle crashed into a tree on Valley. Rd.
Chief Marshall found Ashley Parent, age 16 had crashed into a tree while rounding a
bend in a 2000 VW Cabrio. Parent and her passenger were wearing seatbelts and
the airbags deployed. They complained of minor injuries and a parent said she
would take them to doctor for evaluation.
09/19/13 1615 2 VIN checks were done on vehicles under renovation at a business on E.
Washington Rd.
09/19/13 1750 Chief Marshall responded to Valley to assist Rescue with an impaired resident
needing medical treatment.
09/20/13 1130 An Old Marlow Rd. resident complained of the placement of construction vehicles on
the road. Ofc. Corrigan asked the homeowner to have the workers park differently.
09/20/13 1753 Ofc. Corrigan arrested Carl Manfrates, age 51 of Washington. He had turned
himself in after learning of a warrant for him for Reckless Driving.
09/21/13 2300 An open door was found on a building on Millen Pond. Ofc. Corrigan was able to
secure.
09/23/13 1457 Chief Marshall assisted in treating person suffering a medical emergency on
Washington Dr. Patient transported by Hillsboro Rescue.
09/23/13 1634 Chichester Police asked Chief Marshall to check a Mill St. residence for a wanted
person. He was not there.
09/24/13 1001 Chief Marshall checked a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Bailey Rd. It was
gone when he arrived.
09/24/13 1630 A person who was dumping at the Transfer station when it was not open was upset
when he got locked in when the DPW crew closed up shop. Chief Marshall let him
out after pointing out the various signs with operating hours.
09/23/13 1032 Ofc. Corrigan served a subpoena for the Deering Police on McKinley Dr.
09/28/13 1000 A resident requested direction with background paperwork she was working on. Ofc.
Moser assisted.
09/28/13 1726 An alarm was reported on Marlow Rd. Chief Marshall advised the resident he
needed to get the system checked due to the number of improper activations.
09/29/13 1615 Flu clinic message put up on the sign board.
09/30/13 1325 Report of a suspicious car on Lempster Mtn,. Rd. near Washington Hts. Rd. It was
gone when Chief Marshall arrived.
09/30/13 1547 A Valley Rd. resident reported his ex-wife took belongings not included in a Court
order while removing property per a Court Order. Ofc. Corrigan investigating.
09/30/13 1717 Chie f Marshall took fingerprints of a resident for school employment.
10/03/13 1040 A Lake Ashuelot Estates resident asked for guidance on concerns about a vicious
dog that that had been taken to Nashua. Chief Marshall provided a contact number
for the Nashua Animal Control Officer.
10/03/13 1040 Chief Marshall was notified a Valley Rd. resident had paid for tow services with a bad
check. He advised the company owner the proper steps to take.
10/03/13 1634 Request for guidance regarding dog ownership from a Valley Rd. resident. Matter is
a civil issue, suggestions offered.
10/03/13 1650 Subpoena served by Chief Marshall from Concord City Prosecutor for Valley Rd.
resident .
10/03/13 2035 A theft of Yorke rake from a yard on Bailey Rd. was reported. The theft occurred
sometime in the last 3 months. Assigned to Ofc. Corrigan.
10/05/13 0919 A person banned from Washington Hts. Rd. returned to the house he was removed
from. A warrant was issued and Newport Police arrested Michael Merrill, age 54 of
Newport on the Washington warrant for Criminal Trespassing. He was released with a
Court date.
10/05/13 0958 A logging contractor reported a theft of wood from his lot on No Main St.
10/07/13 1739 A tree was reported fallen on So Main St. Ofc. Corrigan checked and found no
hazard.
10/08/13 0915 An E. Washington reported a license plate lost or stolen.
10/08/13 1329 Ofc. Corrigan took a report of used utility poles be stolen or taken down in the area of
Smith Pond Rd.
10/08/13 1517 Chief Marshall served a subpoena from the Concord City Prosecutor.
10/09/13 0927 A Long Island, NY resident asked Chief Marshall to view damage to a house and
equipment in Merriwoode. A very large tree had come down and struck the house
and UTVs, however damage was minimal and repairable.
10/10/13 1721 A burglary report was taken on Washington Dr. It appears to the be related to an
earlier event that someone is in custody for currently.
10/10/13 1935 Chief Marshall assisted an E. Shore Rd. resident with a medical problem until
transported by Washington Rescue.
10/13/13 1240 Ofc. Corrigan came across some debris in the road on Valley Rd. He cleared the
hazard.
10/13/13 1433 Several large chunks of concrete were dumped on a snowmobile trail on Cove Rd.
Report taken.
During the period 2 Pistol License applications were processed. Also, 5 new Vacant House Checks was entered, 28 House Checks were completed and 2 Burn Permits were issued. 57 vehicles were stopped for 63 violations, 8 of those drivers were issued a summons.
