John 7:25-53
"Could this be the Christ?"
As Jesus taught in the temple we see 3 main types of people and their reactions to him. The first type hated Jesus and wanted to kill him. The second type didn't know scripture and was confused about who Jesus
was and what he was doing. The third type simply "believed in him". If we look at our surroundings today we find that things haven't changed much. There are still people violently opposed to Jesus. There are still people confused about who Jesus was and is, and there are still believers. Jesus answers them all by simply saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink".
1) "Now some of them from Jerusalem said (speaking of Jesus) "is this not he whom they seek to kill"?
* Hollywood, The music industry, politics, Islam and many other sections of society are continually seeking to destroy the message , the divinity and the truth of who Jesus was and is.
a) How does Jesus answer the critics and the confused? John 7:37
b) Do you fall into the category of believer or the confused?
c) How much time do you spend in the word each week?
d) What could you cut for 30 min each day and replace it with bible study? A tv show? Video games?
2) "He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of him will flow rivers of living water"
a) What are the fruits of the spirit that should be flowing out of you? -Galatians 5:22-23
b) How do we grow the fruits of the spirit?
1 Cor 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
* When we let Christ live His life through us by His Spirit, we can't help but bear fruit.
c) Do you submit to God and his plan or are you trying to get God to submit to you and your plan?
d) Is there any greater peace and joy that can be found then submitting to the Lord’s will?
3) All the confusion was happening because people didn't know the scriptures.

b) What area of your life is confusing and unclear to you?
