1 / 1) HOLDING THE RAZOR (2 methods of holding the razor)
1) Open the razor so that the handle is higher than the shank. Place the thumb on the thumb grip and the index, middle and ring fingers on the shank.
2) Place the little fingers in the tang, underneath the handle.
3) When cutting a subsection, position the razor on top of the subsection, the part facing you, for maximum control. / The razor being unbalanced will cause too much hair being removed. / Practice keeping a firm grip on the razor with the ring and little fingers.
2 / 2) A) Open the razor until the handle and shank form a straight line.
b) Place the thumb on the grip and wrap the fingers around the handle. / The razor being unbalanced will cause too much hair being removed. / Practice keeping a firm grip on the razor with the ring and little fingers.
3 / You need to "palm" the razor so that you can comb and section hair during a hair cut. Curl in your ring and little finger to palm the razor. Hold comb between your thumb and index finger. / Razor sliding and cutting your hand while you comb the hair. / Practice keeping a firm grip on the razor with the ring and little fingers.
