AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 59-17-100, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ANNUAL BUDGET AND AUDIT REPORTS PROVIDED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION BY SCHOOL DISTRICTS, SO AS TO REVISE THE REPORTS WHICH MUST BE PROVIDED AND THE DATE THE REPORTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE FURNISHED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Reports and due date revised
SECTION 1. Section 59-17-100 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
“Section 59-17-100. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, each school district of the State shall provide the State Department of Education each year with two copies of its audit report by December first following the close of the fiscal year.”
Effective date
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
