Volunteer Mission Day: The Emergency Home Repair Program’sVolunteer Mission Day will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 7:00 a.m. at the ProgressiveUnionMissionaryBaptistChurch located at 1919 Brandontown Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35816 (256.534.8266). Please join us in revitalizing our community. We are looking for people who can do minor exterior repairs, exterior painting, vinyl siding, roofing and other exterior structural repairs. Intercessory Prayer: Union Chapel will be having a Pre-Revival Intercessory Prayer Meeting on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. All are invited to come out and be united with one heart and mind believing for a mighty move of God in our upcoming three-night revival service. A church unified is a church at its best.
Revival Services: Spring Revival Services will be held at Union Chapel M. B. Church beginning on Monday, March 9, through Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Pastor Larry Weathers of the AntiochMissionaryBaptistChurch located in Gadsden, Alabama will be the guest evangelist.
Youth Department
Tutorial: The Union Chapel Tutorial Programmeets each Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. Tutoring services are offered in all subjects for students grades K-12. The Tutorial Program is in IMMEDIATE need of math (algebra, geometry, calculus, etc.) and science (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.) tutors; if you are interested in being a tutor, please contact Sis. Jenise Showers or the Church Office.
High School Students: All high school students are requested to complete the Student Profile that is located at the WelcomeCenter or at the Union Chapel website.
Boy Scouts Troop: The Union Chapel Boy Scouts Troop is now signing up boys between the ages of 7-14 years old to become cub scouts and boy scouts. If interested, please contact Bro. Orish Carter.

Summer Enrichment Program: Interest Survey/Pre-Registration application for the Academy 2009 Summer Enrichment Program/Summer Camp for ages 6-12 years old is now being accepted. Applications are available at the Church’s WelcomeCenter. Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarship Opportunities: The Men of Omega Psi Phi, Incorporated, Psi Kappa Kappa Chapter in partnership with the Y.O.U.T.H. Friendship Foundation, Incorporated aretaking applications from area high school seniors for the 2009 Scholarship Campaign. Applications can be picked up at the Church’s WelcomeCenter or from any member of Psi Kappa Kappa Chapter. The point of contact is Deacon David A. Jones, Scholarship Chairperson.
Page Opportunities: Do you know someone who is 16 yrs.old and has a 3.0 GPA who might be interested in serving in the ObamaAdministration as a page. Please share this information with friends, family and potential USHouse of Representatives Page candidates. The honor of serving as apage during the Obama administration will be an invaluable experience. Help identify students to participate in this enlightening educationalopportunity. Meetings
Senior Adult Ministry: The Senior Adult Ministry will not meet on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Their meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
Youth Department Meeting: The Pastor would like to meet with all Youth Ministry Leaders on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. in the Library. Business of Importance! All Youth Ministry Leaders are urged to attend.
Men’s Ministry: The Men’s Ministry is gearing up for its ‘intergenerational harmony’ meeting which will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the FamilyLifeCenter. This will be the year’s first segment of our “quarterly conversation” among the men of the Church. If you have questions, suggestions, or concerns, please feel free to drop a note in the Men’s suggestion box located at the WelcomeCenter.
Employment Opportunities
Student Summer Employment: The summer student announcements are schedule to open 3-16 Mar 09. If you know any students that might be interested in the program, have them login into and apply. The students can go in now and start working on their resumes so they are ready when the announcements open. The positions are General Clerk, Office Automation Clerk and Engineering Aid/Techs. These lists will be used to fill jobs for all agencies on the Arsenal. We do not know at this time which agencies will be hiring or how many positions will be available.
