Our KG curriculum is based on Dr. Howard Gardener’s theory of Multiple Intelligences. These are basic intelligences which are incorporated in our lesson plans. There are eight skills that are developed in a child through various activities designed to tap and develop each skill. These are – verbal linguistic, logical mathematical, visual spatial, body kinesthetic, naturalistic, musical , intrapersonal, interpersonal skills.

SOME OF THE FACILITIES PROVIDED IN OUR KINDERGARTEN ARE:

FIRST –AID ROOM

SMART BOARD TEACHING IN CLASSROOM-

Smartboard teaching is very interesting and challenging to children, it makes learning fun and very interactive. We teach lessons pertaining to various topics, English, number work, creative activities, rhymes, songs and stories.

EASAL BOARDS FOR PAINTING

Implementation of Easal Board has made it very attractive and inviting to the students. They find great pleasure in working independently which brings out their best creativity and boosts their self confidence.

CCTV CAMERAS

Through the CCTVs, we are able to continuously monitor the safety and the security of our children.

PLAY AREA – To break the monotony of the classroom we take them to the play area for in-house picnics and musical presentations, Birthday corner. To make every child feel special we have a birthday corner in the play area where we go and celebrate birthdays.

PRAYER – We start the day by invoking God’s presence with a prayer, hymn and followed by the National Anthem.

EXERCISE – After which the children are made to do a few energizing exercises which will improve their concentration, stimulate their attention, focus and keep them active all day.

NURSE – We have a staff nurse exclusively for the KG department Mrs. Mariamma P. Thomas. Parents are requested to submit relevant documents to the nurse if their child is suffering from any ailment or allergies to any food.

THE STRATEGIC TREE of the KG curriculum shows the various methods which we follow for different activities. Some of them are teacher directed group activities in order to give them first hand sensorial experience and some are individual activities performed by children.

The different skills we develop in children are Language skills, Numeracy skills, Creative skills, Social and Emotional skills and Physical & Motor skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS the importance of language dawns on a child when he needs to communicate his needs and emotions. We teachers have several activities planned and executed in class which will ensure language development. To throw light on the same I now invite Mrs. Savita D’Souza.

THANK YOU SAVITA MA’AMTHAT WAS VERY ENLIGHTENING!

NUMERACY SKILL :

As important as language skills, are the numeracy skills. The ability to understand and work with numbers is made easy at school, through tested methods of teaching. I now invite Mrs. ShilpaGadgil to take us to the world of numbers.

THANK YOU SHILPA MA’AM THAT WAS VERY INTERESTING !

As Milton said,” Childhood shows the man as the morning shows the day.” Is your child growing up creating something , doing physical activities and developing his/her social-emotional needs.

I invite Mrs. Zahida Parker to brief you on these skills.

THANK YOU ZAHIDA MA’AM I AM SURE OUR CHILDREN ARE GOING TO HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME WITH ALL THESE ACTIVITIES.
