It is the mission of theBuford Youth Lacrosse Associationtopromote the growth of the sport of Lacrosse by inspiring a love of the sport in boys and girls in the Buford community.We are focusedon team building, good sportsmanship, and positive values for ourchildren. Our coaches will honor the game and teach our players the fundamentals, skills, techniques, and strategies they need. We knowthat participation in theBuford Youth Lacrosse Programwill help to develop confident, responsible, and productive young members of our communityin the Spring of 2015.

ARTICLE I –NAME

Thenameoftheorganizationshallbe“BufordYouthLacrosseAssociation,Inc.”(BYLA),hereinafterreferredtoasthe“Association.”

ARTICLE II –PURPOSE

ThisorganizationisorganizedexclusivelyforcharitableandeducationalpurposestofosteramateursportscompetitionforyouthoftheBufordCity,GwinnettCounty,Georgiathroughthesportof

Lacrosseandtoencouragegrowthoflacrosseundersection501(c)(3)oftheInternalRevenueCode,orthecorrespondingsectionofanyfuturefederaltaxcode.

ARTICLE III –MEMBERSHIP

1.Allathletesonlacrosseteamshereinafterreferredtoas“Player”or“Players.”

2.AllplayersmustbeastudentinBufordCitySchoolstobeeligibletoregister.

3.Lacrosseregistrationshallbegovernedbytherulesandrequirementsoftheleague/s,hereinafterreferred to as“League”.

4.TeamsizeswillbemandatedbyLeagueRules.TeamsmaybesplitatalowernumberofplayersthanmandatedbyLeagueRulesiftheBYLABoardofDirectorsfeelsthatsplittingtheteamwillbeinthebestinterestoftheteam.SplittingofateaminanyagegroupmaybeaccomplishedbyasimplevoteoftheBoard ofDirectors.

5.Allplayers willparticipatebyagegroupsasmandatedbyLeagueRules.

6.Playersandparentsmustdisplaygoodcitizenship,goodsportsmanshipandpositivebehavioratalltimes.

ARTICLE IV –COACHING

1.SizeofCoachingStaffsshallconform toLeagueRules.

2.ItisinthebestinterestoftheyouthinourareatohaveHeadCoachesandAssistantsofthehighest
characterandqualifications.AnyonewishingtocoachintheBYLAshallsubmittheircredentialstothe
VicePresidentofLacrosseforconsiderationbytheBoard.HeadCoachesarenominatedtotheBoardby
theVicePresidentofLacrosseandmustbeapprovedbymajorityvoteoftheBoard.

3.TheHeadCoachofeachteammayrecruitorchoosehisorherownAssistantsandTrainer.AllselectionsforAssistantCoachesandTrainersmustbesubmittedforapprovalbymajorityvoteoftheBoard.Allcoaches,assistantcoaches,trainers,andteammanagersarerequiredbythe BYLAboardtosubmitanapplicationforabackgroundcheck.Thesebackgroundchecksareperformedbyaprivateservice.Allinformationobtainedfrombackgroundchecksisheldprivateandconfidentialwithassignedexecutive boardmembers.

4.TheHeadCoachofeachteamshallseekavolunteerparent,orappointifnecessary,toserveasTeamManager.TheTeamManagershallassisttheHeadCoachbyhandlingcommunicationwiththeteamparents,drinkschedules,concessionstandschedules,gatedutyschedule,fundraising,banquets,etc.

5.HeadCoachesshallhaveaparentmeetingwithinthefirstfive(5)daysofpracticetogetacquainted,answerparentquestions,establishparametersfordisciplinaryactionsandadvisetheparents.CoachesandTeamManagerscanestablish,withinreason,theirownrulesformissingpracticesandgames,useofprofanity,fighting,disrespect,failuretofollowinstructions,etc.

6.Coaches,TrainersorTeamManagersshallnotuseanyformoftobaccowhenworkingwiththeteamsonthepracticefieldorduringgamesontheplayingfield.AllBoardMembersareresponsibleformonitoringandreportingtotheBoardanyoffenders.Violationofthisrulemayresultinsuspensionoftheguiltypersonfortheremainderoftheseason.

7.HeadCoachesshallberesponsibleforallphasesoftheoperationofhisorherteam.

8.HeadCoachesorAssistantsmaybeforbiddenbyLeagueRulesfromrecruitingplayersorCoachesfrom other Leagues orassociations.

9.Coaches,trainers,managersserveatthepleasureoftheboardandthattheymaybedismissedforanyreasondeemedappropriatebytheboard.

ARTICLE V –PRACTICES

1.Allplayersmustattendallpractices.PermissiontomissapracticemustbeobtainedinadvancefromtheHeadCoachorTeamManagerexceptinthecaseofillness.

2.Playersmustbeontimeforallpracticesessionsandattendtheentirepractice.HeadCoachesmaysettheirownrulesregardingpracticetimeswithintheguidelinessetbytheGLL.Playersandparentsshouldbeinformedoftherulesatthebeginningoftheseasonattheparentmeeting.

3.Parentsareurgedtoattendpracticesandgivetheirplayerencouragement.Playersshouldnotbeleftunattendedatpractice.Ifaplayermustbedroppedoffaloneatpractice,itis mandatorythattheHeadCoachorTeamManagerisnotifiedpriortothatpracticeandpermissionisgiventothattheplayer’sparent.Playersdroppedoffatpracticearetobepickeduppromptlyafterpractice.

4.Parentsattendingpracticesessionsarenottointerferewithpracticeactivities,unlessspecificallyauthorized by the headcoach.

5.Coachesshouldestablishguidelinesforplayersmissingpracticesessions.Ifforanyreasonaplayermustmisstwopracticesand/oristardytwodaysinoneweek,theplayermaynotbeallowedtoparticipateinanyactivitiesforthatweek.Ifaplayermissesthepracticeprecedingagame,exceptformedicalreasons,he/shemaynotbeallowedtoparticipateinthegame.Parentsmustbeadvisedpromptlyiftheirplayerwillnotbeallowedtoparticipate.

6.CoachesmustfollowLeagueRulesonpracticehoursandnumberofdaysperweek.

7.Playersarerequiredtofurnishtheirownequipment,shoesandpracticejerseys.

ARTICLE VI –GAMES

1.Eachplayermustattendallgames.EachplayermustadvisetheHeadCoachorTeamManageriftheywill miss agame.

2.Playersshouldplantoarriveatthedesignatedlocationofthegameatleastthirty(30)minutespriortogametime.Parentsareresponsibleforensuringthattheirplayerarrivesatthegamesitewiththerequiredequipmentincludinghelmet(boys),mouthpiece,shoulderpads(boys),goggles(girls),armpads(boys),gloves(boys),properuniform,etc.Protectivecupsarehighlyrecommendedforboys.

3.TheHeadCoach,TeamManagerorDesignatedAssistantwillbepresentateverygametotakechargeof the Team’sactivities.

4.Parentsareurgedtoattendgamesandsupporttheteam.TheHeadCoachistotallyresponsiblefortheactivitiesoftheTeamduringthegamewhileonthefield.Parentsmustnotinterferewiththeactivitiesduringthegamewhiletheyarespectators.

5.SpecificminimumplayrulesapplyasmandatedbyGLL.

ARTICLE VII –EQUIPMENT

1.Playersareexpectedtoprovidealloftheirlacrosseequipmentneeds.

a)GirlswillneedacertifiedLacrossegoggles,mouthguardandastick.

b)BoyswillneedacertifiedLacrossehelmet,mouthguardthatattachestohelmet,gloves,armpads,shoulderpads,stickandprotectivecup(recommended).FootballorhockeyhelmetsarenotcertifiedforLacrosseandwillnotbeallowed.

c)Mouthguardsmustbeofcolor(clearorwhitemouthguardswillNOTbepermitted).

d)Allpurpose(lacrosse,football,soccer)cleatsareallowed.Baseballcleatsand/ormetalcleatsare NOTallowed.

2.Uniforms(jersey,shortsorskirts)willbeprovidedtoeachplayer.Playersmayweartheirgamejerseystoschool,onthedayof,orpriortoeachgameandtoaBufordHighSchoollacrossegame.

Uniformsarethepropertyoftheplayeroncetheseasonisover.

3.Playersarenotallowedtowearjewelryduringpracticeorgames,withtheexceptionofaMedicalID,which will be taped to thebody.

4.HeadCoachesareprovidedwithpracticeequipment(i.e.scoringnets,lacrosseballs,etc...)atthebeginningoftheseasonwhichmustbereturnedtotheequipmentroomatthedesignatedtimewhentheseasoniscomplete.FailuretoreturnequipmentwillresultintheinvoicingoftheHeadCoachforthereplacement costs of theequipment.

5.Properuniformsmustbewornateachgame.Uniformsshouldbeclean.Socksandshoelacesarerequired.

ARTICLE VIII –SPORTSMANSHIP

1.Uponarrivingforagame,playersmuststaywithaCoachorTeamManager.Properconductisrequiredwhileinteractingwiththeplayersoftheotherassociationpriorto,duringandafterthegames.

2.Goodsportsmanshipmustbedisplayedbyallplayersoftheassociationatalltimes.

3.Cheeringwillbepositiveandappropriatetotheteam.Booingisprohibited!Negativeor“putdown”cheers will not beallowed.

ARTICLE IX – CODE OFCONDUCT

1.ItisstrictlyagainstthepolicyofBYLAforanyperson,eitherasaplayer,coach,parentoraspectatortoengageinarguments,touseabusivelanguage,toharassormakeanythreateninggesturestowardsumpires,coaches,playersorleagueofficialsortoexhibitanybehaviornotinaccordancewiththegeneralintentionofthispolicy.Failuretoabidebythispolicywillresultingamesuspensionsand/orremovalfromthepark.

2.Anyplayer,coach,orparentcaughtfightingorfoundconsuminganycontrolledsubstancewillbesuspendedfrom leagueplayforanamountoftimetobedeterminedbytheBoard.

3.FurtherincidentsmayresultinpermanentsuspensionfromtheBYLA.

4.TheBYLAwillreportallpermanentsuspensionstotheLeagueasrequired.

ARTICLEX–DISCIPLINARYACTIONANDAPPEALSPROCEDURE

1.Fightingorusingfoullanguagewithinagameorofftheplayingfieldasaspectatorwillnotbetolerated.

2.Violationwillbecausefordisciplinaryactionandpossibleexpulsionfrom theBYLA.

3.Writtennotificationofdisciplinaryactionwillbemailedwithin3days.

4.Playersandspectatorsareentitledtoappealthedisciplinaryaction,providedthatawrittenrequestisdeliveredtoamemberoftheBoardofDirectorswithinseven(7)businessdaysfollowingthedatethatthedisciplinaryactionistaken.Atthetimeofreceiptofawrittenrequestofappeal,thedisciplinaryactiontakenshallbelifteduntilafinaldecisionismadebytheBoard.

ARTICLEXI–BOARDOFDIRECTORS

1.TheAssociationshallberepresentedbyanExecutiveBoard,hereinafterreferredtoasthe“Board”,Consistingoffive(5)electedofficers,lacrosserepresentatives,andtheheadcoachofeachoftheboysandgirlsteams.Theelectedofficesshallbe:Director,AssistantDirector,Secretary,Treasurer,andCommissioner.

ARTICLEXII-ELECTIONOFOFFICERS

1.TheelectionofNewOfficersshallbecompletedbythesecondSundayinJuneofeachcalendaryear.Officersshallserveforaterm oftwo(2)yearsfrom July1–June30ofthefollowing year.

2.The offices of the Director and the Treasurer shall be open for election in odd numbered years and the offices of the Assistant Director, Secretary, and Commissioner shall be open for election in even numbered years.

3.Any position appointed by the Director due to vacancy will be a one year term and will be open for election the second year.

4.TheDirectorshallarrangeforameetingplacecapableofholdingtheexpected(oraverage)crowd.TheSecretarywillprovidetheballotlistingonlythenamesnominatedforeachoffice.OnlyparentsofplayersofthecurrentyearandOfficersarepermittedtovote.TheSecretarywillcheckoffthenamesof

parentsastheyenterthemeetingandhandoutballots.Thenumberofvotescountedshallnotexceedthenumberofballotshandedout.Extralinesshallbeprovidedontheballotsonominationsmaybemadefrom thefloor.

5.PriortotheElectionofOfficers,theBoardshallselectandappointanElectionChairpersonfromtheGeneralMembershiptooverseetheelectionofOfficers.All nominations will need to be communicated to the appointed Election Chairperson a minimum of one week prior to specified election date.NoOfficershallbeallowedtoassistunlesstherearen’tanyassistantsavailable.

6.GENERAL RULES OFORDER

a.TheDirectorshallbringthemeetingtoorder,introducetheElectionChairpersonandthenturnthemeetingovertotheChairperson.IfnoElectionChairpersonisavailablethenthe Directorshallconductthemeeting.TheChairpersonorDirectorwillconducttheElectionofOfficers in the followingmanner.

b.StartingwiththeofficeofDirector,givethenameornamesofthenomineesandthenaskfornominationsfromthefloor.Anynomineesfromthefloormustbepresentandmustbewillingtoserveinthepositionforwhichnominated.Anynominationsfromthefloorwillbewritteninbytheballotholdersonthelineprovided.Ifonlyonenameisofferedforanoffice,votingshallbebyashowofhands.Ifmorethanonenominee,thenvotingshallbebysecretballot.Thenameoftheelectedofficershallbeannounceduponcompletionofthecountingoftheballots.Thiswillbedoneafterofficehasbeenvotedon.Officer’snameswillnotbewithhelduntiltheendoftheelection.

7.AfterallOfficershavebeenelectedtheElectionChairpersonorDirectorshallturnthemeetingovertothecurrentDirectorwhowilladdressanynewbusiness.Thesecretaryshouldobtainthetelephonenumbersandaddressesofanynewofficerssotheycanbenotifiedofthenextmeetingdate.Amotionshallbemadetoallowtheadjournmentofthemeeting.

8.NewlyelectedOfficersshallattendthenextBoardMeetingtoacquaintthemselveswiththeprocedures.OutgoingBoardMembersshallfinishanyandalloutstandingbusinesspriortoJune30th.ReplacementBoardMembersshouldbebroughtuptodateonanyunfinishedbusinesssonewMembers

cancarryonwiththeminimumoftransitionalproblems.NewlyelectedBoardMembersshallhaveno

votingrightuntiltheyassumeofficeonJuly1st.

ARTICLEXIII-OFFICERRESPONSIBILITIES

1.DIRECTOR - The Director shall oversee all functions of the Buford Youth LacrosseAssociation.Responsibilities include the smooth functioning of everything from Board Meetings, to sign-ups,tohandlingconflicts.

a.Secureallnecessarycontractsonfacilitiesforregistrationandactivitiesduringtheseason.

b.PresideoverallBoardMeetings.TheDirectorshallnotvoteonmattersbroughtbeforetheBoardexceptinthecaseofatievote.TheDirectormustthenvoteasatiebreaker.c.SupportandenforcetheBy-LawsandRulesoftheGLLatallfunctionsoftheBYLA.

d.OverseeLacrosseregistrationandevaluations.

e.ServeasaBYLArepresentativeatGLLmeetings.

f.TheDirectormayholdaHeadCoaching,AssistantCoach,TrainerorTeamManagerPositionduring his/her term in office if sodesired.

2.AssistantDirector-TheAssistantDirectorofLacrosseisresponsibleforthesmoothfunctioningofallLacrosseActivitiesandwillperforminthesamecapacityastheDirectorintheabsenceoftheDirectorat any function of theBYLA.

a.AcquireforBoardApprovalaHeadCoachforeachagegroup.NOTE:TheHeadCoachmayselecthisownAssistantCoachesandTrainer;however,eachmustalsobeapprovedbytheBoard.

b.HandleanycomplaintsorproblemsfromLacrosseParentsorChildren.TheDirectorshallalwaysbeadvisedimmediatelyofanyphysicalfightingthathasoccurred(i.e.,Coaches,Parents,andChildren).Preparewrittendisciplineactions.

c.KeepallCoachesinformedastopracticedates,fields,andgameschedules,etc.

d.AssistCoacheswithanyproblemsthatmayoccurwithparents,players,etc.

e.SetupandConductpreseasoncoachesandtrainersclinicforlacrosse.

f.ServeasaBYLArepresentativeatGLLmeetings.

g.Preside at all Coachesmeetings.

h.TheAssistantDirectorofLacrossemayholdaHeadCoaching,AssistantCoach,Trainer,orTeamManagerpositionduringhis/herterm inofficeifsodesired.

i.CompleteanyotherdutiesassignedbytheDirector.

3.SECRETARY-TheSecretaryshallberesponsiblefortheminutes,recordkeeping andallpublicationsof theBYLA.

a.RecordminutesofallBoardMeetings.DistributeminutesfortheBoardsapprovalatthebeginning of the nextmeeting.

b.MaintainallpertinentdocumentsconcerningtheBYLA(i.e.,contracts,insurancepolicies,bylaws,etc.),releasethesetointerestedpartiesonlyifareceiptisplacedinthefileshowingwho,

what,whyandwhentheitemwasreleased.

c.TheSecretarymayholdaHeadCoaching,AssistantCoach,TrainerorTeamManagerpositionduring his/her term in office if sodesired.

d.Coordinate all TeamCoordinators.

e.CommunicateallinformationneededtoTeamCoordinators.

f.ResponsibleforschedulingandpublishingofallfunctionsandactivitiesforallTeammembers.

g.ResponsibleforcontactingallBoardMemberstoadviseofmeetingtimesanddates

h.CompleteanyotherdutiesassignedbytheDirector.

4.TREASURER-TheTreasurerisresponsibleforallFinancialRecordsoftheBYLA.

a.Depositallcashandchecksfromregistration,concession,fundraising,etc.

b.ProvidestatusofcheckingaccountactivitiestoallBoardMeetings.

c.Balance checkingaccount.

d.ProvidedetailsofBoardExpendituresattheAnnualParents’Meeting.

e.DisburseFundsasdirectedbythePresidentforexpensessuchasreferees,policeofficers,lacrosseequipmentpurchasesandconcessionstandsupplies.

f.AllchecksrequirethesignatureofboththePresidentandtheTreasurerforreleaseoffunds.

g.Maintainsufficientrecordsofallexpendituresandincomethatwillwithstandscrutinybyindependentauditors.

h.Supplyanannualreviewoffinancialstatementsdonebyaqualified,outsideaccountingfirm.

i.Handleallsponsorshipmoniesanddistributionback totheteams.

j.Supervisemanagementofconcessionstand.

k.Supervise spirit wear sales andinventory.

l.TheTreasurermayholdaHeadCoaching,AssistantCoach,Trainer,orTeamManagerpositionduring his/her term in office if sodesired.

m.CompleteanyotherdutiesassignedbytheDirector.

5.LACROSSECOMMISSIONER-TheLacrosseCommissionerwillassisttheAssistantDirectorofLacrosseandshallactinthesamecapacityastheAssistantDirectorofLacrosseintheabsenceoftheAssistant Director at any function of theBYLA.

a.ResponsibleforschedulingeachTeam’stimeforworkersonallhomegamesandpractices.b..Responsiblefororderingofnecessaryequipmentrequiredtokeeptheprogramsfunctioning.

c.Assuregamefieldislined,yardmarkersareinplace,cornersaremarkedandthefieldisreadytoplay.

d.Secureallequipmentafterthelasthomegameoftheday.

e.Haveanup-to-dateknowledgeofallBYLAandGLLRulesandActivities.

f.BeinattendanceatallHomeGamesandpractices(ordesignateAlternateRepresentativeorotherBoard Member to bethere).

g.TheLacrosseCommissionermayholdaHeadCoaching,AssistantCoach,TrainerorTeamManager position during his/her term inoffice.

h.CompleteanyotherdutiesassignedbytheDirector.

1.MEETINGS

ARTICLEXIV-GENERALBOARDRULES

a.BoardMeetingsshallbeheldatleastonceattheearliestpossibledateofthenewyeartoplanfortheupcomingseason.OtherBoardMeetingsduringtheyearwillbecalled,asnecessary,bythePresident.Atleastonemeetingshallbeconductedimmediatelypriortoearlyregistrationtoorganizeaplanforhandlingregistrations.Meetingsshallbeheldasoftenasnecessarytoensurethesmoothoperationandsuccessoftheprogram.

b.AnOfficerwhoisabsentforthreeconsecutiveOfficialBoardMeetingsmaybesuspendedandremovedfromofficebyamajorityvoteoftheotherBoardMembers.AreplacementmaybenominatedandinstalledbyamajorityvoteoftheremainingBoardMembers.

2.VACANCIES

a.Any vacancy created by resignation, moving, change of job, expulsion, withdrawal, etc.,maybe filled by appointment from the Director. A majority vote of the Board is required to confirmanomination.

b.VacanciesontheBoardthatarenotfilledattheGeneralElection,forwhateverreason,maybefilledbyappointmentbytheDirectorwithconfirmationbyamajorityvoteoftheBoardMembers.

3.APPOINTMENTS

a.ThepositionofConcessionManagermaybeappointedbytheDirector.Inordertoshareresponsibilitiesandworkingtime,aConcessionSupervisormayalsobeappointed.

b.TheDirectorshallhavetheauthoritytoappointCommitteesorIndividualsfromeithertheBoardofGeneralMembershiptohandleservicesorperformfunctionsthatareofbenefitto,orfor, theBYLA.

c.AnyBoardMembersshallhavetheauthoritytoseekassistants,fromtheGeneralMembershiptohelpwiththeBoardMembersassignedresponsibilities.However,theBoardMemberstillcarriesthemajorresponsibilityofhisorherpositionwithintheBYLA.

4.CHANGES

a.Changes,additionsordeletionstotheBy-LawsofBYLAmustbesubmittedtotheDirectorforpresentationtotheBoard.ActionmustbetakenatthenextregularlyscheduledBoardMeeting.ThepersonrequestingthechangesintheBy-LawsshallbepromptlynotifiedbythePresidentastotheoutcomeoftherequest.

b.Changes,additionsordeletionsmayalsobepresentedattheannualParents’Meeting.ThenewBoardwillberesponsibleforactingontherequestbyeithervotingortablingitatthefirstscheduledBoardMeetingofthenewyearaftertherequestisreceived.

c.Any changes to the By-laws will only permitted one time per year and only during the last BoardofDirectors meeting of the fiscal year. Any and all changes must be submitted, reviewed and votedonduringthefinalBoardmeetingoftheseason.

5.ATTENDANCE OF BOARDMEMBERS

AllmembersoftheBoardareexpectedtobeinattendanceatallBoardofDirectormeetings,whetheritisaregularlyscheduledmeetingorameetingcalledbytheDirector.IfaBoardMembercannotattendameeting,he/shemustnotifytheDirector,theAssistantDirectororSecretaryatleasteight(8)hoursbeforethemeetingbegins.Failuretonotifyandfailuretoattendthemeetings,willbehandledbytheDirector

asfollows:(Thisisperyear)

a.First Offense: The member must submit in writing to the Board of Directors the reasonforhis/her absence and intentions on where he/she stands with serving as a Board ofDirectorsMember.

b.SecondOffense:Themembermuststatehis/herreasonforabsencetotheBoardofDirectorsinpersonatthenextscheduledBoardmeetingandrequestpermissiontoremainontheBoard.

c.ThirdOffense:Thememberwillberemovedfromhis/herpositionontheBoardofDirectorswithin seventy-two (72) hours after thevote.

5.REMOVAL OFOFFICERS

a.Anofficermayberemovedfrom theofficebyamajorityvoteoftheBoarduponbeingservedwritten notice of theaction.

b.Any elected officer so removed may, by submitting a written request to the Board within two(2)weeks after being served notice, appeal the decision of the Board in a hearing before thegeneralmembership.

c.TheBoardshallholdanappealbeforethegeneralmembershipatameetingwithintwo(2)weeksafterbeingservedtherequestforappeal.

d.AsimplemajorityofthegeneralmembershipshallconfirmtheactionoftheBoard.

6.COMPENSATION

AllBoardOfficersshallservewithoutcompensationorfinancialremunerationinanyregard.EachBoardOfficerisprohibitedspecificallyfromprofitingpersonallyinanytransactionwiththeAssociation.Inordertoavoidanyappearanceofimpropriety,anymemberoftheExecutiveBoardorSportBoardOfficer

family,includingbutnotlimitedtospouse,parents,children,stepchildren,siblings,in-laws,aunts,uncles,andcousinstothethirddegreearespecificallyprohibitedfrom beingemployedbytheAssociationinanycapacitywherethatemploymentresultsinthepaymentofanycompensationinwhateverformorsubstancepayablebytheAssociationoritsrespectivecommitteetosuchExecutiveBoardOfficerormemberofhisimmediatefamilyasdefinedherein.

ARTICLEXV–PARLIAMENTARYPROCEDURES

ARTICLE XVI –LIABILITY

1.The BYLA Board of Directors, Representatives, Coaches, Trainers, and Officials of othersupervisoryor participating personnel are not responsible for personal injuries or damage to property at any GLLorBYLA sanctionedevent.

2.Allparticipatingindividualssuchaslacrosseplayers,coaches,trainers,officials,parents,spectators,etc.,participatesattheirownriskandshallnotholdBYLAoranyofitsmembersresponsibleforanypersonalinjuryordamagetoproperty.

ARTICLEXVII–DISSOLUTIONOFTHEASSOCIATION

Uponformaldissolution,thenetassetsoftheOrganizationshallbedistributedtotheGwinnettLacrosseLeagueprogramforoneormoreexemptpurposeswithinthemeaningofsection501(c)(3)oftheInternalRevenueCodeorcorrespondingsectionofanyfuturefederaltaxcode.

ARTICLE XVIII– REFUND POLICY

ItisthepolicyoftheBufordYouthLacrosseAssociationthatno refunds willbegiven with the exception ofaseasonendinginjury to the participantorif the participant relocates tooutsideofthe Gwinnett County geographical area. The amount of the refund will be minus the cost of the uniform and spirit fee and will be prorated for the time lost by the participant.Allrequestsforconsiderationmustbemadeinwriting. All refunds will be made in the form of a check.

ARTICLE XIX – PLAY UP POLICY

It is the policy of the Buford Youth Lacrosse Association that in cases where a participant is to play up in grade level there will first need to be based on participant numbers in forming a team with an acceptable minimum number. Once the need for a participant to play up a grade level has been determined there must be first permission from the parent, a skill evaluation from the coaches and/ or board with direct knowledge of the participant’s skill level, and lastly a majority board vote approving the play up in grade level.

ARTICLE XX – FUNDRAISING POLICY

It is the policy of Buford Youth Lacrosse Association that all fundraising will be for the benefit of the entire association at the association level and not for individual teams or divisions. All fundraising will require a majority board vote. All fundraising must be for a specific and designated purpose.

ARTICLE XXI – EQUIPMENT PURCHASES

Any equipment purchases made for the association over $100.00 by any board member will require a board vote.
