POST:Business and Operations Officer
HOURS: 37hours per week (including occasional evening and weekend working)

SALARY: Point 30-31-£25,727 to £26,539
JOB PURPOSE:
Working with the services manager the post holder will have responsibility for three main areas of work:
- Identify and develop funding opportunities that will help to sustain Crossroads Derbyshire including opportunities for partnership working, sharing of resources and marketing of our services.
- Work with the Services Manager to set up and manage the Women’s Aid ‘On Track’database and organisational systems put in place to effectively monitor targets and outcomes.
- Review of existing policy and procedure to ensure that they meet National Standards and that the organisation is tender ready.
In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the organisation in the absence of the Services Manager including taking part in the out of hours on call rota.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organisational Performance
1Ensure the organisation’s policies and procedures are fit for purpose, effective and up to date with legal and good practice changes.
2Assist delivery of in house training to staff, volunteers and Trustees on new policy and procedure.
3Lead on the implementation of the organisation’s new online database and reporting tools to ensure it effectively meets the output and outcome requirements for funding contracts.
4Work with the services manager and the administrator to collate and report on evaluations of the organisation’s services and the use of evaluation to inform changes to service delivery.
Development and Sustainability
1Contribute to the identification of service gaps and potential areas of new development.
2Identify funding opportunities available to support new project development with particularreference to the development of the partnership work
3Attend relevant network meetings to identify potential partnerships and service
development opportunities.
4Work with services manager to develop 3 year funding strategy.
5Completion and submission of funding and tender applications to support core
funding streams and identified areas of development.
GENERAL:
1To identify own training and development needs and participate in all training coursesrelevant to Crossroads Derbyshire commitment to providing high quality services.
2To work at all times with due regard to the policies and procedures of Crossroads Derbyshire, including financial regulations, participating in their development and amendmentwhere required.
OTHER:
1The post is subject to a DBS disclosure which will be carried out at appointment of acandidate.
2This post is subject to completion of a six month probationary period.
3Must be mobile and able towork across the County as required.
